Missing Girl Returns Home After Kidnapped, Held at Knife Point


A 15-year-old Monroe County girl returned home after she was kidnapped and held at knife point Saturday night, according to a Monroe County news release. The release says Brianna Bertram went to her neighbor's house to feed their cat around 6:30 p.m. When she entered the home, a masked man threw a blanket over her head and took her out of the house at knife point.The man then walked Bertram into a wooded area nearby, the release says. The man took the blanket off of her and she was able to escape.The release says she hid in the woods and got home around one a.m. Sunday.The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case.
