"Anything could happen in the streets like this," said Danyelle Sturdivant.
For Danyelle Sturdivant the days since her daughter's disappearance have been long.
"I’m hurting inside because that's my baby," Sturdivant said.
She says Chelsi is the most troubled child she's raising.
Chelsi Sturdivant has been spiraling out of control. Her mother has been left in a whirlwind trying to regain control. She says it’s been a tug-of-war between the love she has for her child and a life of trouble.
It hasn't been easy.
"She got involved with the streets and they took over her life, so what I say didn't really matter any more," said Sturdivant.
"The L.B. Landry 7th grader is something of a socialite. She has lots of friends. Some of whom was with her when she was last seen Sunday night," said reporter Darian Trotter.
"My fear is I’m not going to find my daughter,” Sturdivant said. “That's my fear."
New Orleans Police Investigators say following a violence in the French Quarter Halloween night; 14-year old Chelsi and her friends hitched a ride with 4 men who asked them to pay. They refused, and jumped out; all except Chelsi.
"Some people say she was saying let her out, other people was saying she didn't want to get out," Sturdivant said.
As New Orleans police continue to follow leads, her mother is doing what she can, posting flyers and spreading the word; hoping to see her daughter safe and soon.
"I just want Chelsi to come home no matter where's she's at or what she'd doing or whatever, I just want her to come back home safely," Sturdivant said.
