Fifteen-year-old Hailey Anthony left home on Oct. 25 wearing blue jeans, black slippers and a gray Old Navy hoody, and attended classes at Estacada High School, much like any other school day. But she never showed up at her seventh-period class, and her parents haven’t heard from her since.





Anthony was last seen around 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25 near Estacada High School. Her stepfather, Cory Sundholm, believes she ran away from home, but without any evidence that demonstrates she’s endangered, Clackamas County sheriff’s deputies can’t pursue her whereabouts as they would a child abduction case.
Anthony is 5 feet 5 inches tall and has blue eyes and brownish-red hair. She weighs approximately 118 pounds.
“We’ve hung up over 800 fliers in Estacada, Sandy, Molalla and Oregon City,” Sundholm said. “We really want to find her. She’s run away from home before, and we just want her to come home so we can help her.”
Sundholm believes Anthony is staying with a friend in Sandy. He’s visited the address approximately 10 times since her disappearance, until the homeowners recently told him to stay off their property. School Resource Officer Deputy Funk has been helpful in attempting to locate Anthony but can’t pursue her disappearance the way an Amber Alert for a missing child would warrant.
“She had a cell phone with a GPS system on it so we could locate her,” Sundholm said. “But as soon as she left school, she turned the phone off and hasn’t used it since then.”
Sundholm says he has heard reports of Anthony in the Sandy area, where she’s been seen partying with a group of people. She has run away a total of four times and spent time in juvenile custody, but her longest stint away from home has been four days. This week marks two weeks since she was last seen near her school.
