Missing girl may be in South Bend
Rochester police ask for help finding her.
A 17-year-old Rochester girl who hasn’t been seen since Monday night may be in the South Bend area, police said Friday.
Kimberly Sloane, a Rochester High School student, was reported missing after she didn’t return home from school Monday, the Rochester Sentinel reported.
Rochester Assistant Police Chief Robert Daugherty said there are indications that Kimberly could be in the South Bend area.
She was last seen Monday afternoon with some friends at a Rochester park, according to the Sentinel. She posted on her Facebook page Tuesday night, but she did so with another person’s mobile phone, her father, Lee Sloane, told the newspaper.
Kimberly is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 114 pounds. She has brownish-blonde hair and was wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt and bluejeans the last time she was seen.

Search for teen expands
Police believe a runaway Rochester teenager may be in the Mishawaka area.
Mishawaka police searched a house there Friday morning looking for 17-year-old Kimberly E. Sloane, of 4287 E. Deer Trail Court. They didn't find her.
She's been missing since Monday afternoon.
Sloane went to school Monday morning, visited friends at Rochester City Park after school, left with a male and hasn't been seen since.
Rochester Assistant Police Chief Skeeter Daugherty said Sloane has been in contact with friends since she left, but not her father, Lee Sloane, or stepmother Lisa Sloane.
It's not the first time she's run away, but she's usually been located within hours, her father said. He believes his daughter may have had a bad day at school Monday.
City police have entered Kimberly as missing in the Indiana Data and Communications System, a police information network.
She is bipolar and does not fully understand consequence, her father said. She did not take her prescription medication with her when she left Monday morning, nor any other belongings.
