Ansonia Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since Wednesday.

Iveliss Datil of Tremont Street was at Ansonia High School Wednesday and has not been seen by family or friends since, police said in a press release.

Datil weighs 101 pounds and has hazel eyes and long straight black hair, police said. She wears black eyeglasses and was last seen wearing a gray and black jacket and blue jeans, police said.

UPDATED: 12:37 pm EST November 26, 2010ANSONIA, Conn. -- A man has been arrested on risk of injury charges in connection with a missing juvenile case in Ansonia.Police said a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing Thursday evening was found in a hotel room with Gabriel Mendoza, 19, of Texas on Thursday night.Police said an investigation revealed the girl was having a long-distance relationship with Mendoza, and the two planned to meet each other during the Thanksgiving holiday.Police said the pair met at a hotel in the Danbury area.The girl was returned to Ansonia and Mendoza was taken into police custody on risk of injury to a minor charges. His bond was set at $20,000 and he was scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court on Friday.Police said Mendoza and the girl began their relationship through online contact and chat rooms.

A 19-year-old Texas man faces risk of injury charges related to the case of an Ansonia teenager who was reported missing.


Gabriel Mendoza, 19, of Gruver, Texas, was arrested and held on a $20,000 bond. The 15-year-old girl who was reported missing was last seen at Ansonia High School Wednesday. According to police, it appears she had been having a long distance relationship with Mendoza and they planned to meet over the holiday. "The juvenile and the male met and were spending time in a hotel together in the Danbury area," Lt. Andrew Cota said in a news release Friday. When police contacted Mendoza they made arrangements to have the girl brought back to Ansonia. When that happened, Mendoza was arrested. The teen was reunited with her family Thanksgiving night. Mendoza was scheduled to be arraigned at Derby Superior Court today. "It appears that the relationship was generated through online contact and chat rooms," Lt. Cota said. No other charges are pending, police said.
