I am sorry for the family, but when I read things like this it makes me nuts! Why on earth was this child with someone who is a druggy with a history of taking off? I don't care if he is the grandfather a little common sense please!

We have a happy ending to the case of a missing two year old. The toddler, Demerius Garriett was found, but his step grandfather, Cecil B. Hopkins, 58, he disappeared with is still missing.
"I hugged him, I kissed him," cried Demerius Garriett's father Brandon Lathan.
Latham was emotional Saturday evening after recalling the first time he laid eyes on his son who had been missing since late this week.
"We have this little fist bump we do together, [we]did that," he told us.
Demerius and Hopkins were last seen at the 25,000 block of I-45 North in The Woodlands Thursday.
Saturday, Texas Equusearch geared up to search for the two, but around 2pm, Demrius was located in Northeast Houston near The Eastex Freeway and Collingsworth. Family we talked with said friends of Hopkins were watching the child, realized he was missing and called police.
Demerius was taken to LBJ Hospital to be checked out. Family tells us he appears to be in good condition, but was dehydrated and tired.
His other grandfather hopes Hopkins, who the family says has problems with substance abuse, never takes care of the child again.
"I mean what do you have to do, he's proved himself," said Nate Lathan. "If he was a real grandfather he wouldn't have treated him that way, he wouldn't have treated him like that."
No matter what happens in the future, the rest of this weekend will hold good memories.
"We're going to celebrate from today to the rest of my life man," said Brandon Lathan.
If you know where Cecil B Hopkins is, call the Harris County Sheriff's Office Missing Persons Unit at 713-755-7427.

A man who was reported missing along with his toddler grandson earlier this week was located by police Sunday morning, authorities said.
Cecil Hopkins, 58, was found after authorities received a tip on his whereabouts, and he is currently being held on a drug possession charge, said Sgt. Doug Thomas, of the Harris County Sheriff's Office Missing Persons Unit.
He and 2-year-old Demerius Garriett went missing about 2 p.m. on Thursday in the 25400 block of the North Freeway in The Woodlands.
The toddler was located Saturday after authorities received a call from people whom the boy had been left with after they realized he had been reported missing, Thomas said.
The child was taken to an area hospital as a precaution and released in good condition.
Family members told authorities that Hopkins had a history of drug abuse, Thomas said.
Hopkins will be interviewed by authorities on Monday about the case.
No further information was immediately available.
