HPD searching for missing Houston girl

HOUSTON – Police on Thursday were searching for a missing 12-year-old Houston girl.

Alantria Jones, who also goes by "AJ" or "Noree," was last seen on Monday, January 24, wearing a black coat, a green school shirt and tan shorts.

Police said they’ve talked to her friends, and they believe Jones may have gone downtown to meet with some boys she knew from the Internet.
Investigators said Jones may have taken a bus to meet them.
Jones’ mother said her daughter didn’t take any of her belongings – like medication or clothes—with her.
Jones is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. She wears her hair in braids.

Police said there’s no evidence of foul play, but they’re taking the case very seriously.
They’re asking anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts to call 713-731-5223.

Alantria Jones has not been seen since Monday.



HOUSTON (KTRK) --
Authorities are searching for a missing 12-year-old girl.

Alantria Jones has not been seen since Monday. HPD Missing Persons told
us they have no reason to believe Jones, 12, was abducted or being held
against her will. They said she has had a number of runaway incidents
in the past and apparently tried to convince some friends to leave
school on Monday to go meet some boys. The friends did not want to go
with her, so she apparently hopped a METRO bus to the other side of
town.

Authorities say they have a few persons of interest, but there have not been any charges filed or warrants issued. Jones is described as a black female, about 5-foot-4, around 170 pounds. If you have any information on this case, you are urged to call HPD Missing Persons at 713-731-5223.

Missing Houston girl found safe


HOUSTON—A missing 12-year-old Houston girl was found safe, her family said Friday.

Alantria Jones, who also goes by "AJ" or "Noree," had been last seen on Monday, Jan. 24. as she was headed off to school, her mother said.

Her family did not say where she was found.
