ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A correction to our report we published on December 29, 2010 about hours billed by an investigator working on the Casey Anthony case: The Justice Administrative Commission filed a notice of filing approving
payment of the 471-hours billed by an investigator working on the Casey Anthony case.

In its December 20 filing, the JAC stated it paid the investigator for all 471 hours submitted, but reminded the defense team, that the role of an investigator is to perform investigatory tasks as defined by Florida law and JAC policies and procedures. An investigator should not be used to perform paralegal or similar administrative activities on behalf of the defense.”
