Authorities said Erin Bell is  charged with the voluntary manslaughter of her two year old.

BELLAIRE, Ohio -- The Belmont County
mother charged with the Voluntary Manslaughter of her 2-year-old
daughter  was in court for a preliminary hearing today.    
But the court proceedings took a backseat to the personal drama
unfolding between the baby's mother and father.    Erin Virginia-Mae Bell
appeared to be crying almost the entire time she was in the courtroom.    
Seated in the public area was her ex-boyfriend, Angel Rodriguez, the father of the baby,
closely watching the proceedings.    When Bell's case was called, she walked to the defense table and sat.  
But moments later, lawyers for both sides agreed to reschedule the
preliminary hearing, to allow more time to prepare.    
Judge Frank Fregiato said the preliminary hearing would be held March 9,
at 8:15 a.m.     The Judge continued her bond at one half million
dollars.    Authorities said she will remain behind bars at this time.    
At one point during the proceedings Bell asked the judge to make
her ex-boyfriend stop making faces at her.    Angel Rodriguez was led outside.    
The father of Mylie Marie Bell, 2, said he will continue to monitor the proceedings.    
Bell reportedly died of blunt force head trauma in her mother's apartment at Lansing Gardens Jan. 30.

Belmont County Woman Gets 15 to life in her Toddler's Death

BELMONT COUNTY - The mother of two year old Mylie Marie Bell, will spend 15 years to life in prison in the death of her little girl.

Erin Bell entered guilty pleas to one count of  felony murder and one count of child endangerment.

Friday Judge John Solovan sentenced Bell to 15 years to life on the murder charge, and eight years for the child endangerment charge .

She will not be eligible for parole until after she served at least 15 years.

Authorities said Mylie Bell died of blunt force trauma in January of 2011.

A Belmont County mother will be sentenced for killing her little girl Friday morning.

Erin Bell, mother of two-year-old Mylie Marie Bell, pled guilty last month to the January 2011 death of the toddler in the Lansing Garden Apartments.

Authorities say little Mylie Marie died of blunt force trauma.

Bell has been jailed on a half million dollars bond since the child's death. The mother has entered guilty pleas to two counts, one count of murder and one count of child endangerment.
