Police launch online appeal for leads in Markham teen’s murder

Police have launched a campaign on Facebook and YouTube to encourage witnesses to come forward about a Markham teen’s murder.
On Nov. 23 of last year, a man walking through Tomlinson Park, near Markham Road and 14th Avenue, came across a body and called police.
It turned out to be Anoush Verdi, an 18-year-old Markham resident who had been missing since July 13 when he left his home near 16th Avenue and Ninth Line.
Detectives believe there was more than one person involved in Verdi’s murder.
