Opening statements were presented yesterday and the first witness, George Anthony, took the stand to begin the State’s presentation of their case. To say yesterday was interesting is an understatement of epic proportions. Linda Drane-Burdick presented opening statements for the State of Florida. The Lovely Miss Linda, from the beginning, focused on Caylee Marie Anthony. Ms. Burdick made sure the jury knew that what they are there for is to center on the murder of a beautiful 2-year-old little girl.
