ORLANDO, Fla. -- Prosecutors in the case against Casey Anthony gave the jury a tour of Casey Anthony’s car Friday afternoon through photos and evidence in the courtroom as a crime scene investigator said that, in his own opinion, the car smelled like human decomposition.
Gerardo Bloise, a crime scene investigator with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, identified numerous photos of Anthony’s Pontiac Sunfire and also identified envelopes and boxes that contained evidence from the car.
Bloise told the jury that based on his experience, the vehicle smelled like a dead human body.
“Based on 23 years of 40 decomposed bodies, I can determine that it was the smell of human decomposition,” he said.
Bloise said that one never forgets the smell of a dead body.
