Ronald Cummings Has Not Worked Since Daughter Disappeared Feb. 10
POSTED: Thursday, April 16, 2009
UPDATED: 3:08 pm EDT April 16, 2009
PALATKA, Fla. -- Ronald Cummings was fired this week after his employer said he has not come to work since his 5-year-old daughter Haleigh disappeared from their Satsuma home more than two months ago.
Haleigh disappeared in the early-morning hours of Feb. 10, just before Cummings came home from his job at PDM Bridge in Palatka.
PDM Bridge said they held Cummings' job open for weeks, expecting him to request a leave of absence or make some other arrangement, but he never did, WJXT-TV reported.
Cummings' lawyer, Greg Kimball, released a statement saying Cummings agreed to return to work on April 6.
"Ronald agreed to this date and was prepared to go into work when he was told on Friday, April 3, 2009, that the offer to return to work was being withdrawn for 'abandoning his job,'" Kimball said. "Cummings in the last two months has had to deal not only with the disappearance of his daughter Haleigh, but also false muckraking allegations by attorney Kim Picazio, representing Crystal Sheffield."
Kimball said they are consulting with a Daytona Beach firm that specializes in labor and employment law over possible legal action over his termination.
Kimball also denied that Cummings ever threatened anyone connected with PDM Bridge.
Custody of Haleigh and her younger brother was awarded to Ronald Cummings because he had a steady job and could provide health insurance for the children -- something a Putnam County family court judge found Sheffield, their mother, could not.
Search For Haleigh Continues
Haleigh was last seen when Cummings' girlfriend, Misty Croslin, put her to bed Feb. 9. Despite hundreds of leads, Putnam County investigators have found no trace of the girl.
On the first day Haleigh was missing, more than 130 law enforcement personnel from several local and state agencies began searching for her.
Investigators proclaimed everyone -- family members, neighbors and associates -- as a suspect in the girl's disappearance.
For weeks after Haleigh disappeared, Cummings and his family lived in a tent not far from the mobile home where the 5-year-old disappeared.
"I will give up everything I own. All I want is my child, please," Cummings said in the hours after an Amber Alert was issued for Haleigh.
Night after night, family members held vigils and prayed for Haleigh's safe return.
The ground search using hundreds of law enforcement personnel, specially trained dogs and volunteers on horseback continued for two weeks. Investigators went door to door and stopped cars along main road.
More than 1,400 calls of tips and reported sightings poured in to a hot line, leading investigators as far away as Kentucky and Indiana.
The focus began to turn toward Haleigh's parents when a heated interview on national television put Cummings on the defensive.
After a month, police tape was removed from around Haleigh's home, which investigators said was no longer considered a crime scene. The home, however, remained vacant as Haleigh's father refused to move back home without his daughter.
Five weeks after Haleigh disappeared, Cummings and Croslin were engaged, then married.
The newlyweds were interviewed on the "Today" show, where Croslin was unable to explain her inconsistent accounts to police.
Signs asking about Haleigh's whereabouts remain throughout Putnam County, eight weeks after the girl disappeared.
Two months into the search, friends and neighbors said Haleigh is still on their minds.
"This is a small community. Everybody's hearts are going out to the family. And, we all still have hope. You have to have hope," said one resident.
Anyone who has any information that could help find Haleigh is asked to call Crimestoppers at 888-277-TIPS.

I am chasing
down information received at 11:48 pm by phone Sunday referencing a
possible BOLO alert for Ron Cummings Sr. who is the father of missing
5-year-old Satsuma girl, Haleigh Cummings.
I was tipped by an informant, who shall be refered to as "Digs,"
in Putnam County, FL that a 911 call was made between 9 p.m. and 10
p.m. stating that the father, Ronald Cummings Sr. sent his 4 year-old
son, Ron Jr., to the door of his former girlfriend, Amber, in an
attempt to lure the child he and Amber produced to come outside.
The information received from my informant also stated that a tall, thin male was also present near Ron Jr.
Our sources says that this was an attempt by Ron to take this child.
It’s been reported that Ronald Cummings Sr. is now behind in his support for that child.

Nay-Nay (Misty's friend) Speaks Out
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, (c) artharris.com, all rights reserved
In an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, we watch a party pal
of Misty Cummings, Kristina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, describe Misty’s
spree of drugs, sex and rock and roll with “White Boy Greg” Page, after
running from what she says Misty described as abuse by Ronald Cummings,
and her duties babysitting his children, Haleigh and Junior.
“When I picked her up” mid-week before Haleigh vanished, Prevatt
tells pro bono private investigator and bounty hunter Williams Staubs,
aka Cobra on The Bald Truth at artharris.com, “she said (Cummings)
threw her against the mirror and she said her arm was all cut up and
stuff because she said she was pregnant, and he said, it wasn’t his
baby, and he rolled her up and tried to squeeze her into a ball.”
Why was Ronald Cummings angry? “She had a pregnancy test, said it
was posiive,” said Prevatt in her first television interview. “(It)
might have been her sister’s because her sister was pregnant.”
Soon, Prevatt says Misty described how Ronald dropped her off at
her brother’s house, and she began walking, then called for Nay Nay to
pick her up–and the three day party began.
To hear Prevatt tell it, she drove Misty and Page to nearby St. Augustine in her beige Lincoln to party.
In an earlier interview, Prevatt told me that Misty ran into Amber
Brooks at one party, and the two women had to be pulled apart. Page
said Misty was smoking pot, doing cocaine and taking “Roxies.”
According to this new interview with Prevatt on The Bald Truth, she
gave a ride to a prostitute she knew named Lindsay, and it was on to
Crescent City, and a house full of Hispanic laborers “who were acting
real crazy.” Prevatt says she wanted to stay in the car with Misty, but
Greg insisted they all wait inside while Lindsay went to work.
Prevatt tells Cobra, who Monday night bonded both Prevatt and Amber
Brooks out of the Putnam County Jail where they were being held on
felony cocaine possession charges, that Lindsay agreed to pay her half
her sex for hire proceeds for driving, and disappeared into a back room
where “all the Mexicans took turns,” paying from $30 to $120 each.
Prevatt says she and Misty were invited to participate. “They said,
we were in their house,” but they declined. “We sat real close to
Greg,” she says, and split “when Lindsay got her money.”
As for drugs, she said, “Misty does pills and weed, and xanex, Loritab, but smoking weed, that’s like her main thing.”
Ronald Cummings, through his attorneys, denies any illegal drug use,
though he’s been arrested numerous times for drug possession and once
plead no contest to the charges.
After the two day party, Prevatt says that Saturday night before
Haleigh vanished turned to Sunday morning and Misty asked to be dropped
at her brother’s house. Prevatt says Misty was trying to conceal she
was talking “like secretly” to Ronald on the phone.
“I guess he asked her to bring a condom,” says Prevatt, “and I didn’t have any condoms.”
Nay Nay says she dropped Misty at her brother’s house. “She was
like, ‘Gotta go to my brother’s house, gotta watch the kids in the
morning….So I said, ‘You’re going to Ronald’s house, and she said, ‘No,
I’m not, no I’m not…Come back in the morning, and help me watch the
kids,’ but I didn’t end up doing that.”
For her part, Prevatt says she was so exhausted after dropping off
Croslin, she crashed at Lindsay’s house in Flagler Estates nearby, and
woke up at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9. When she called Misty later that
week, Haleigh was missing, and Prevatt says Misty told her “the same
thing I’d heard on the news, something about the kitchen light.’ Then I
heard her sister in the background saying, ‘Don’t talk on the phones,
the phones are tapped.’ Then she hung up.” That was the last time they
spoke, she says.
Police say both Brooks and Prevatt have spoken to task force
detectives and fully cooperated in recounting what they know about
details behind Haleigh’s disappearance. Misty Cummings has also spoken
several times to detectives who say they are struggling to reconcile
conflicts in her stories.
But sources on the team tell me they aim to use Monday’s arrest of
Prevatt and Amber Brooks, mother of a third child, a 20 month old
disable son named Jordan, by Ronald Cummings, to try to help the women
remember more information.
Several weeks after Haleigh turned up missing, Prevatt was back
partying, and hooked up with Brooks again, even let her borrow her
beige Lincoln.
In her exclusive interview here on The Bald Truth, Prevatt says
Amber Brooks got her car stuck in the mud and she found a big dent in
the trunk. “At first she acted like, ‘I don’t’ know what happened.’
Then I said, what the f—did you do to my trunk?’ And she was like, ‘Oh,
it must have happened when I paid someone to push the car (out of the
mud) when I wasn’t there.”
When William Staubs asked what Amber had related to her about Ronald
and parental discipline, Prevatt said, “Amber says he usually smacks
the s—out of Haleigh and Junior, and one time he smacked Junior, and he
got like a bloody nose.”
Ronald has denied any abuse, and investigators with the Putnam
County Department of Family services once absolved Cummings several
years ago of abuse charges after Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield,
initially lost custody and tried to challenge a court order to regain
it.
A Miami family law attorney, Kim Picazio, has launched her own
investigation of the charges, and says Amber Brooks and others have
described slaps that have lead to bloody noses. Says Picazio in an
interview with The Bald Truth Monday, “Amber told me Ronald always
explained Junior had a ‘weak nose,’ and that’s why he bled so much.”
At the time, county child advocates ruled that his parental
discipline was within acceptable department guidelines. “They have a
bunch of nice clothes,” observes Prevatt, who spent time with Brooks
when she was going with Cummings.
As the cupid behind the wheel who put Misty in the arms of White Boy
Greg Page the weekend before Haleigh vanished, she says she was
recently startled when the Cummings and Croslin klan flagged her down.
They’d been reading all about Misty’s assignation with Greg Page,
and Cobra says Cummings acknowledged to him he knew it, but in the
scheme of things, it didn’t matter, that he loved Misty, and was trying
to keep her close to find out what happened to Haleigh.
But that didn’t mean his pride wasn’t wounded, that his bride to be
had slept with another man, much less a light-skinned African American
nicknamed White Boy.
Recalls Prevatt, “Misty’s Mom and sister saw me and said, ‘Where
does White Boy Greg live?’ And I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ and they
said, ‘Ronald … and their Dad are looking for him and want to kill him.
Ronald’s going to shove eleven inches down his throat.’”
A task force investigator tells me police have heard the same
alleged threats, but shrugged it off as red clay hubris, a once cocky
rooster trying to regain his strut.
For his part, police say they’ve ruled out Page and say he’s fully
cooperated in the Haleigh probe. In our exclusive interview, Page told
me he doesn’t know what happened after he left a message for Misty a
day before she reported Haleigh gone. He says she never called back.
Sources inside the investigation tell me Page was forthcoming about
his wild weekend with Misty, who also confirmed some details of their
sexcapade. As for the threats, Page has heard about them, and says he’s
laying low.
P.S. I just messaged Crystal S on her MySpace page, requesting her to become my friend.
I'll let you know if I hear anything....

Two arrested for drug use in Haleigh's case
Haleigh Cummings April 20
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, www.artharris.com
In a dramatic new twist in the case of missing Haleigh Cummings, two young women with close ties to the father of the missing five year old, Ronald, and his new bride, Misty Cummings, were arrested and booked Monday morning into the Putnam County Jail on charges of cocaine possession.
Amber Nicole Brooks, 20, of Palatka, Florida, the mother of Cummings’ 20-month old son, Jordan, was arrested by Putnam County sheriffs deputies, booked into jail at 8:04 a.m. and charged with cocaine possession, smuggling “contraband” into a detention facility and failing to appear for another outstanding warrant.
Bond was set at $2,512.00 for the three felony charges, according to the Putnam County Jail log.
Also arrested and booked (at 8:39 a.m.): Kristina Renee Prevatt, 18, aka “Nay Nay,” the party pal of Misty Cummings who in an exclusive upcoming interview at artharris.com describes a wild, three day party of sex, drugs and drinking with Misty the weekend before the 17 year old babysitter reported Haleigh missing on Feb. 10. Misty, who has since married Ronald, is said to be the last person who saw Haleigh
On Monday, Prevatt was charged with possession of cocaine and trying to smuggle contraband into a detention facility, records show. Her bond was set at $2008.00.
In our interview, she tells me she introduced Misty and Greg Page, aka White Boy Greg, and drove them around for two days. She also says Misty claimed Ronald had physically abused her when she told him she was pregnant, and that lead to her party girl revenge. Nay Nay says she doubts Misty was telling the truth.
She also says Amber Brooks borrowed her car recently, and got it stuck in the mud, reportedly running from a man with a machete. She says Misty still had clothes in her trunk from that lost weekend, but they have since been removed.
Prevatt describes this and more in our exclusive television interview between her and pro bono private investigator and bounty hunter William Staubs, aka “Cobra,” who is expected back in Satsuma late Monday.
As for Amber Brooks, in a recent exclusive interview with The Bald Truth, she tells me she once lived with Ronald and took care of Haleigh and her little brother, Junior, before their son, Jordan, was born, then split with Cummings who she said has paid no child support, and raised their son as a single mother.
With a previous drug arrest on the books, Brooks has been struggling to raise their son, who has been quietly cared for by her grandmother in Palatka, but Jordan’s future may be up in the air after a surprise visit by Ronald Cummings Sunday.
Indeed, just before 10 p.m. Sunday night, April 19, according to a 911 call my source heard on a police scanner, Brooks’ grandmother called the Putnam County Sheriff’s dispatcher to report Cummings had pulled up outside her house in his purple Nissan Ultima and sent Haleigh’s little brother, Junior, to her door to ask for his little brother, Jordan.
When the grandmother refused, she told police, a black man who was apparently with Cummings appeared and asked for the child. That’s when my source says he heard the grandmother tell 911 she locked the door and called police, who confirmed the incident, including a BOLO (be on the lookout) for Cummings and a police cruiser that was dispatched.
“That’s how I understand it went down,” said PCSD Captain Dick Schauland in a phone interview with The Bald Truth.
Lt. Johnny Greenwood, also a PCSD spokesman, confirmed the arrests of Prevatt and Brooks. He said both had been cooperative in previous interviews with task force detectives when questioned about Haleigh’s kidnapping, but saw no connection with that case and the arrests.
“I don’t know how investigators may want to talk to them. I know they’ve talked to them already…and they’ve been cooperative the whole time,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Usually, charges like that might be used as leverage, but in this case they’ve already been cooperative.”
Cooperative or not, one investigator on the case told me Monday the task force would explore whether the cocaine arrests might be still be used to “squeeze” the women for any undisclosed information that might help move the stalled case forward.
“We’re waiting on that one tip to come in. Somebody knows something,” Lt. Greenwood tells me. “Somebody out there knows what happened. It’s just gonna take them slipping up and telling somebody, or somebody hears something. That’s all it’s going to take, one tip.”
In our exclusive interview with Prevatt, Nay Nay, as everyone calls her, says she picked Misty up after a fight with Ronald mid-week before Haleigh vanished, drove her to meet Page, and off they went on their party girl weekend—and had a surprise encounter with Brooks. Her account dovetails with what Page, or “White Boy Greg” as he’s called on the street, told us in his exclusive sit down.
Both describe Page’s brief romantic hook up with Misty, and her physical altercation with Amber Brooks at a party where witnesses tell me the cat-fighting women had to be physically pulled apart.
While Amber tells me Ronald Cummings rarely saw their son, friends say Brooks remains bitter that Misty moved in with her ex, and may have been angling to take away her son. Investigators theorize a number of dynamics at play, including a Misty who may have been jealous of the women who had previously had children by her main man.
Kim Picazio, lawyer for Crystal Sheffield, tells me Brooks described to her how Cummings would “smack” his son, Junior, causing nose bleeds —a similar account Brooks told me as well — but a police source says Amber also praised Ronald as a fine father who did not abuse the kids in a recent interview with the task force.
“She tells people what she thinks they want to hear,” said a lead investigator in the stalled missing child case.
In an exclusive interview, the task force official who asked that his name not be used, tells me investigators on the Haleigh case would be exploring any conflicts between the bit players in this twisted epic of Jerry Springer proporations, in an attempt to learn more from the two women about Haleigh’s disappearance than previously shared under police questioning.
Sources tell me sheriff’s investigators interviewed Brooks last week after she also met with investigators for Putnam County Department of Family Services who questioned her about Ronald Cummings alleged abuse–charges leveled by Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, who is trying to regain custody of their son, Junior.
Through his attorneys, Ronald Cummings has denied any physical abuse towards the children, and maintains he’s the better parent by a longshot.
DFS has previously investigated Cummings and reportedly found his use of physical punishment within the acceptable bounds of parental discipline.

To co-workers within earshot of Ronald Cummings at Palatka, Florida’s PDM Bridge, Misty Croslin sounded hysterical when she called one night weeks before the 17 year old babysitter reported his daughter, Haleigh, had vanished while he was at work and she was asleep with the kids.
“I remember she called him in tears, because the little girl was giving her fits and he told her, ‘Whip her, just whip her and make her be quiet,’” recalls fellow crane operator Eric Zastrow, 32, in an exclusive interview with The Bald Truth. “He said, ‘Just whip the little brat, she needs to understand it’s time to go to b bed, or put a movie in for her.’ Then he hung up.”
Also a night shift crane operator, Zastrow told me he was working with Cummings “on the yard” from the time PDM hired Haleigh’s father in October last year until Ronald was fired in early April. The reason: failing to let the company know he was coming back, a spokesman tells me.
A PDM staffer confirmed Zastrow worked on the same yard as Cummings.
He also told me that on another night when Misty phoned and put Haleigh on, her father sounded as sugary as cane syrup. “Hey Baby, how you doing, sweetheart,” cooed Cummings, according to his co worker, who was standing within earshot.”
“We know all about the phone calls, Misty calling him upset that she can’t control a five year old,” one of the lead Putnam County Haleigh task force investigators tells The Bald Truth in an exclusive interview. He asked that his name not be used. “It’s what you’d expect from a 16 or 17 year old babysitter.”
While police tell me they are double checking timelines and alibis of anyone who may have come in contact with Haleigh, they believe Haleigh’s kidnapper was no stranger to the family. “We’re not looking at a stranger abduction,” a lead task force member tells me. He said he’s been authorized to offer immunity from prosecution to any credible witness who can provide a sworn statement —and the crucial piece– that cracks the case.
“I don’t consider druggies credible,” he tells me, “and heaven knows we’ve got a lot of those down here. They’re like interviewing rocks, memory’s not very good.”
Still at the top of murky timelines: Misty Cummings, the babysitter Ronald Cummings married after she reported Haleigh missing. She went on a three day party binge the weekend before she reported Haleigh missing, hooking up with White Boy Greg Page– a revenge romance– according to Page and his chauffeur, Christina Prevatt, a Misty pal.
Investigators say Misty has told several conflicting stories, but maintains she was at the trailer sleeping when Haleigh vanished. If police do find anyone credible who, for example, can put Misty somewhere other than the trailer, or Ronald Cummings off PDM property where he said he worked until the end of his shift, “then you’ll see some fireworks,” the investigator told me.
So far, Cummings has a solid alibi. Not only do co-workers like Zastrow tell police they recall him on property, even taking his dinner break in the cafeteria, but The Bald Truth has learned exclusively that Cummings cell phone pings came from cell towers by the steel plant, and that on the way home, he stopped by a convenience store to buy a few things. That would certainly seem to debunk one theory that he went to the trailer to check on Misty, then returned to work that night.
In a telephone interview, Williams Staubs, the private investigator and bounty hunter nicknamed “Cobra,” tells me he’s still checking Cummings alibi, puzzling through Misty’s, and passing on what he hears to police, including the curious story of an ex wife of Crystal Sheffield’s fiancé, Chad Griffis.
Seems Chad won custody of two children from that marriage to Helen Edmison, and Marie Griffis, Crystal’s mother, tells me the ex wife, who lives in North Georgia, hates Crystal because she’s raising her two children–AND knows Ronald Cummings.
“We are trying to run that down,” says a lead Putnam County investigator, in a chat with The Bald Truth. “If we can find anyone who saw them together in Satsuma when Haleigh went missing, that’s of interest.”
Asked about an offer of immunity for a key witness, Johnny Greenwood, the Putnam County Sheriff’s spokesman, tells me, “I had not heard about that. Immunity can only come from the state attorney. We’re not authorized to offer immunity to anyone.”
With witnesses like Greg “White Boy Greg” Page stirring controversy and, more recently, threats, The Bald Truth has also learned Palatka police are boosting patrols in his downtown neighborhood after reports that relatives of Ronald Cummings “are trying to find him and harass him about the Haleigh Cummings disappearance,” according to an official police report made available to me.
In an exclusive interview with me over the weekend, assistant chief James Griffiths, second in command of Palataka’s finest, says the patrols began last week after Page’s mother, Lyn, heard about threats purportedly made against her son.
Then a white neighbor, a 43 year old divorced mother of two, reported a red pickup drove through the ‘hood, with two white men inside. In an exclusive phone interview with me, she said one rolled down the window and offered her $50 to tell them where they could find White Boy Greg and Cobra. Page’s mother, called 911, laid it out for two officers, and when she learned a police report had not been filed, marched down to the station to fill out her own report.
But Lyn apparenlty provided “no names of who might be doing this harassing,” said Griffiths, reading from the report, “just that a woman had seen two unknown white males driving in the neighborhood supposedly trying to locate Greg Page.”
But the mystery neighbor tells me the driver matched a mug shot of Cummings father, Lester. She made that ID from a mug shot I e- mailed her Sunday; and also says she found the same man on You Tube videos of Haleigh Cummings rallies. Cummings could not be reached for comment, but Cobra tells me a red Nissan Pathfinder the neighbor described to him is similar to one owned by Cummings grandmother, and sits in her driveway, outside the trailer, were Ronald and Misty are staying.

S: Do you believe the photos of Haleigh and Jr. with bruises are parental abuse?
TJ: NO
S: Do you feel any closer to the truth in Haleigh’s disappearance?
TJ: Yes, its so confounded and complicated we are not dealing with methodical person who is using normal rational thought.
S: Is the investigation hot or cold?
TJ: HOT
Thank you once again Mr. Hart for taking time from your busy life to spend some time with me answering questions. I am in debt to you sir. Thank you William Cobra Stuabs for your efforts and endless search for this precious child who has touched all of our hearts. Haleigh Cummings: My TJ Hart Updates.
April 25th, 2009 • Related • Filed Under
Gainesville,Florida- Mr. Hart has been kind enough to send me his reporters notes that he puts on his site. He also sends me other tidbits here and there, regarding the Haleigh Cummings case. I have been sitting on them for a week now. Please accept my apologies for the delay in action with these updates. I am very fortunate to have contact with Mr. Hart. We are all very blessed that he is still looking for the truth in Haleigh’s disappearance. Mr. Hart is working with Cobra Staubs the bounty hunter also searching for the truth in Haleigh’s disappearance. Investigators have spent countless hours and man power in the search for Haleigh. Haleigh is still missing. There has been many reports of shady activity in the lives of the adults revolving around her disappearance. There has been lots of slander and accusations revolving around this disappearance. Lots of words but no Haleigh.
So with all that said lets get dirty. Here are my updates from Mr.Hart, some are old news but the ones I received today are new.
Mr. Hart has talked to Lt.Greenwood concerning Greg Lewis Page aka White Boy Greg he asked the lieutenant some questions regarding Greg Page:
1) Hart: Has Page been polygraphed regarding the weekend with Misty and the disappearance of Haliegh?
Greenwood: We cannot divulge any information about results of any polygraphs or who has or has not taken one recently.
2) Hart: Did Page admit he was with Misty and used drugs with her?
Greenwood: We cannot comment, or rather, divulge any information on an ongoing investigation.
3) Hart: Was Page cleared via polygraph of any involvement in Haleigh’s disappearance?
Greenwood: We cannot divulge any information about results of any polygraphs or who has or has not taken one recently.
4) Hart: Is Page considered a suspect?
Greenwood: Everyone is a suspect—no one has been cleared.
5) Hart: Has Misty admitted to the weekend drug use during a polygraph as well?
Greenwood: Again…we cannot divulge any information about results of any polygraphs.
6) Hart: Has Misty’s account of that evening been cleared by LE?
Greenwood: No one has been cleared.
Now I know its not alot of answers to those questions besides shutting doors. What stood out for me was the answer to question number six. No one has been cleared. Makes you wonder. Mr. Hart was also in Satsuma to stop by and see Crystal Sheffield he reported this “Was in Satsuma yesterday following a meeting in Jacksonville, FL. Visited with Crystal Sheffield for about 15 mins. She’s NOT looking healthy… tired, run down, skin appeared to have yellowish tint.”
Mr.Hart also had some information regarding Ronald Cummings Haleigh’s father:
“Re: Haleigh Cumnings: chasing down info received at 11:48 pm by phone Sunday via Cobra referencing a possible BOLO for Ron Cummings.
Was tipped that a 911 call was made stating Ron Sr. sent Ron Jr. to the door of former girlfriend Amber in an attempt to lure the child he and Amber produced to come outside the door around 9:30 pm so Ron could take the child.
Also alleged a tall thin black male was waiting in shadows to snatch the youngster on behalf of Ron.
It’s been reported that he is now behind in his support for that child.”
I have not received any word on that BOLO or that situation regarding Ronald Cummings from Mr.Hart, I am still waiting for an update on that. The next update I receieved is:
“REPORTER’S NOTES 4/22/2009
I met with licensed Florida bondsman and surety agent William “Cobra” Staubs Tuesday and videotaped what I could of that encounter.
Our meeting took place in a clandestine location where we caught up with each other and compared notes on the investigation into the disappearance of 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings.
Haleigh was taken in the middle of the night from her Satsuma, FL home on February 10, 2009, where she lived with her father, Ronald Cummings and his girlfriend-now-teen-bride Misty Croslin-Cummings.
Misty Cummings was the last person to see Haleigh before she was abducted. The investigation has since been focused on the inconsistent timelines given to police by Misty Cummings.
In this meeting, Staubs addresses the Monday April 20, 2009 arrests on of Amber Brooks and Kristina Rene “Nay-Nay” Prevatt.
Amber Brooks is the mother of Ronald Cummings disabled 20-month-old son from a previous relationship. Kristina Nay-Nay Prevatt is the woman who allegedly arranged a sex and drugs encounter for Misty Cummings the weekend before Haleigh vanished.
It was Staubs who posted the bond for Brooks and Prevatt. Staubs believes these women are key to this investigation.
At this time, we are questioning and questioning again all known relatives, associates and contacts of Ronald and Misty Cummings up to 30 days prior to Haleigh’s disappearance.
Police and othe invesitgators are doing the same.
We are examining the dynamics of each relationship involving Ronald and/or Misty in an effort to find the person or persons who took Haleigh and their motives for carrying out the abduction.
Our belief is that until a body is produced, Haleigh is still alive.
Our goal is to find her and return her home safely.
Staubs was out of the area for a short time to capture some fugitives in South Florida in order to keep his cash flow running.
Please by advised that William “Cobra” Staubs is also a certified microsscapist among other things.
Staubs sometimes presents a certain image for effect. In this video, Staubs presents that image and also colorfully reveals some of his tools-of-the-trade when he is tracking down wanted fugitives.”
Finally the update from today:
“REPORTER’S NOTES 4/24/2009
It has been a tough couple of days in the investigation of this story. 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings has been missing since February 10, 2009 and one would think the priority would be finding this child.
Far from it in some cases.
This is where I can empathize with police and other investigators.
So many people want to offer their help to the case. Most people really think they have some information that will help. Unfortunately, there is a certain 1% out there who only see the disappearnce of this precious child as a “TV show.” This element is hurting the entire investigation on all ends by trying to alter the “dialogue and plot changes” of their ’soap opera’ only satisfy their own selfish, twisted interests.
To that element I stress: THIS IS A VERY REAL CHILD! THIS CHILD IS MISSING!
My team is working on four possible leads at this time:
Haleigh has been stolen
Haleigh has been sold
Haleigh is dead
Haleigh has been taken by a well-intended person who did not calculate his/her actions to it’s logical conclusion: Police, FBI, FDLE and local and national TV, Radio and Internet coverage
I will elaborate on each of these scenarios in the coming days.
Here is the raw, unedited audio from William “Cobra” Staubs from this morning regarding the reasons he bailed two women, Kristina Rene “Nay-Nay” Prevatt and Amber Brooks, out of jail this week.
Staubs believes the two are key to the investigation into Haleigh’s disappearance”

No Junior involved! False claim by 1 scanner listener that needs to be cleared up.

Misty's father claims Ron tried to hurt him
Exclusive: “Ronald Cummings Tried to Kill Me!”
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, (c)artharris.com, all rights reserved
Just when we think the dysfunctional dynamics in Satsuma, Florida can’t get any stranger among rival clans of missing five year old Haleigh Cummings, Misty Cummings’ father, Hank Croslin, now accuses his new son in law, Ronald, of trying to poison him with painkillers he apparently thought would take away aches from a recent car accident, but made him violently ill instead.
“He believes Ronald Cummings was trying to kill him,” according to an official police “suspicious incident” report obtained exclusively by The Bald Truth that reveals a family that pops pills together, sticks together, unless, well, someone reports a bummer. Could this mean a Ronald-Misty rift might be looming?
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department deputy, who answered the call the weekend before last, “Hank said that he regularly gets prescription pills from Ronald, including xanex and roxicet.”
Misty’s father related that he’d asked “Ronald if he had any xanex, and Ronald pulled several pills from out of his pocket, and gave Hank one,” the report goes on.
“ Hank said that Ronald never told him what the pill was, and that he did not know what the pill was. Hank described the pill as being small, round, and white. Ronald also gave Hank’s son one of the pills,” says the report.
“Hank would not identify his son, but he said that his son later told him that he identified the pill as a muscle relaxant,” the deputy wrote.
“Hank said that he voluntarily took the pill, and it made him very ill.
“Hank said that he was in a coma for four (4) days following the incident, and believes that Ronald provided the pill to him with the intent to harm him….He believes that Ronald Cummings was trying to kill him.”
But William Staubs, private investigator and bounty hunter, tells me he met with the Croslin’s Monday, and family members explained that the pill didn’t induce the coma– doctors did deliberately after Croslin aspirated on his own vomit and nearly died. Cobra said family tried to downplay the incident. He told them he was worried for Misty.
I asked the sheriff’s department why no one was arrested. “On the surface, it appears illegal, but didn’t rise to the level to make a case,” a major told me. “No money changed hands.”
In related ER matters, early Monday, Haleigh’s mother, Crystal Sheffield, while hanging at the Haleighbug command post on Highway 17 with her sister, Sarah, was rushed to the emergency room after blacking out from another apparent seizure, falling and hitting hear head, blood gushing everywhere.
Family members also tell me paramedics found her woozy and, Cobra, who raced to the scene with her attorney, Kim Picazio, says he found an ax on the floor, an apparent weapon Crystal had armed herself with to ward off a possible stalker her sister said they’d spotted “wearing all black,” and lurking outside.
No stalker was found, said Cobra.
After she was treated and released, her fiance, Chad Griffis, tells me she’s now home resting, and neurological tests are being scheduled.

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
WTH is wrong with this group of people............my gosh....I think they need to take JR. away from ALL of them...I do not believe this story because if the man only took 1 pill, I am sure it would not do anything to him. If LE knows for a fact that Ronald is handing out prescription drugs, then why the hell is he not being arrested??? I am beginning to think he, (like Casey) is going to get away with anything.......

In an exclusive,wide-ranging interview, the lead investigator in the Haleigh Cummings case tells the The Bald Truth he’s holding out hope the missing five year old could be alive.
“I didn’t think so for a long time, based on statistics for these kinds of missing children cases,” Captain Dominic Piscatello, chief of major crimes for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, told me Monday. “But now, based on what we’ve learned, I’m holding out hope. You remember (Elizabeth) Smart (the kidnapped Utah girl who turned up safe months later). Everyone had written her off as dead. We’re not ready to write off Haleigh.”

Exclusive: Haleigh Cummings–Nay Nay Out of Jail!
Exclusive: Haleigh Cummings–Nay Nay Out of Jail!
By Art Harris, The Bald Truth, (c) www.artharris.com
The Bald Truth has learned just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, Christina Prevatt, aka Nay Nay, 18, ex- party girl chauffeur for Haleigh Cummings’ stepmother, Misty, was bonded out of the Putnam County Jail, again, on her original cocaine possession charges.
Only this time, it wasn’t bounty hunter Williams Staubs, aka Cobra, but Chuck’s Bail Bonds, according to attorney Kim Picazio, who has been trying to help the suicidal teenager struggling with drug addiction enroll in a rehab program.
She told The Bald Truth that she spoke to the Palatka, Florida outfit that took the gamble on Nay Nay, fresh off suicide watch, and says they declined to tell her who had put up the money for the bit player in the Haleigh Cummings mystery to go free, and likely go wild.
Her last get out of jail free card came from Staubs. Just before Cobra bonded her out Monday morning, task force detectives with the Putnam County Sheriff’s task force on the missing five year old, tell me they were interviewing Prevatt in jail, but learned nothing new.
Detectives hit her up again for information after Cobra put her back behind bars Tuesday for violating terms of her bond, but police sources say nothing new came up.
It was Prevatt who drove Misty on her weekend break with White Boy Greg Page, returning the day before Misty would report Haleigh missing.
“She’s been very cooperative with us,” Lt. Johnny Greenwood, the sheriff’s spokesman told me today. “She’s not a suspect or a person of interest, as some have wrongly reported, just someone who might know someone who knows something.”
Cobra tells me he’d bonded out Prevatt to cruise the Satsuma underbelly, along with Brooks, poking their heads into crack houses to see if they recognized anyone who might jog their memories and shake loose any information. Then he learned she’d tried to snatch her own child from temporary custody of her ex, and was threatening to kill herself, and put her back behind bars, this time on suicide watch.
Sources tell me a doctor ruled she was no longer a danger to herself, so could not be held under the mandatory 72 hour lockdown regulations.
Then Cobra got word Wednesday night, she was back on the street, and headed for the parking lot behind the Palatka Huddle House, where he says he found Prevatt standing by her new main man, a local ex-con named Jerome, out on his own $31,000 bond, records show, courtesy of, you guessed it, Chuck’s Bail Bonds.
“She didn’t look so good,” Cobra told me, who had lead the girl back to jail in tears and handcuffs a day earlier. “In fact, she looked so bad, she looked homesick for jail.”
With tensions mounting as he confronted Jerome, Cobra said he was glad he’d ordered his passengers to wear bullet proof vests; he shoved two pistols in his belt, ready for anything.
Later, I called Jerome. He picked up his cell phone. I asked to speak with Nay Nay. “You the man who owes her money?” he asked.
“I don’t think so. Why, you think I owe her?”
“I think you owe me money,” he laughed. “Like five million dollars.” I decided to ask how much he charged for the ladies. Cobra said he was bragging about having Nay Nay and Amber back under his roof.
“Who told you I do that?” he asked.
“That’s the word, Jerome,” I said.

“She didn’t look so good,” Cobra told me. “She looked homesick for jail, like she missed jail already.”

Police Search Myrtle Beach for Missing Upstate Girl
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP)
-- The mother of a 17-year-old New York girl who disappeared after a
weekend trip to Myrtle Beach said Thursday that it's getting harder to
keep up hope that her daughter will be found unharmed.
The girl's mother and a friend said the girl may have been depressed because her mother and stepfather are getting divorced.
"It's a parent's worst nightmare,'' Dawn Drexel told The Associated
Press about the search for her daughter, Brittanee. "There's a lot of
things that don't add up, and I'm scared that there's the possibility
that she's not alive.''
Brittanee Drexel was reported missing Sunday, a day after police say
she was last seen after leaving a group of friends who had traveled
with her from Rochester, N.Y., to visit people at another hotel along a
busy stretch of Myrtle Beach's Ocean Boulevard.
But Brittanee never returned, and a friend reported her missing the next day.
Dawn Drexel said she thought her daughter, a junior on spring break
from Gates-Chili High School, was staying with friends only a few miles
from home when she said on April 23 via text messages she was ``at the
beach.'' Brittanee had asked for permission to travel to Myrtle Beach,
but Dawn Drexel said she told her daughter no.
"I just said no, you're not going,'' Drexel said. "But when she gets
her mind set on something, she just wants to do it, and that's it. I'm
pretty positive she had left Wednesday night.''
Dawn Drexel said she communicated with her daughter through cell phone
calls and text messages between Thursday and Saturday, exchanging
messages over soccer equipment she was going to buy for Brittanee.
Those messages stopped at 8 p.m. Saturday. Capt. David Knipes, a Myrtle
Beach Police Department spokesman, said the teen's hotel room was
abandoned, her cell phone the only item missing. Investigators have
fanned out across the area near the hotel but have found no concrete
leads.
On Monday, Dawn Drexel and a handful of her daughter's friends posting
dozens of flyers in Myrtle Beach bearing Brittanee's picture and
description. The teen's father, who lives near Tampa, Fla., and is in
Myrtle Beach with his wife and relatives, is helping in the search,
Drexel said.
Brittanee's stepfather has been helping out from Rochester, fielding
some media calls during the teen's disappearance. But Dawn Drexel said
stress from her impending divorce to Brittanee's stepfather may have
contributed to her daughter's depression , and possibly her decision to
come to Myrtle Beach.
"She tries to watch out for her brother and sister. ... It was very stressful in the household,'' Drexel said.
Teams from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are also assisting in the search, Knipes said.
"We can't rule anything out,'' Knipes said. ``Obviously it's a very
concerning thing, when you have a 17-year-old with a history of
depression who could do harm to herself or others.''
Police in Rochester were helping out by interviewing Drexel's friends
and others from the region who traveled to Myrtle Beach last week.
Allanna Lippa, 19, said she was one of about 15 people in the group who
stayed "in one big room'' at the motel.
But Lippa returned to Rochester, where she is now worrying about her friend.
"There's a million things that could have possibly happened to her,''
Lippa. 19, said. "She was fun, a little ball of energy. But she was
also depressed.''

Chili teenager Brittanee Drexel still has not been found. New pictures from a security camera have been released showing her leaving the hotel in Myrtle Beach where several of her male friends were staying. She left around 8:40 p.m. Saturday and has not been heard from since. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent two highly skilled former FBI agents to Myrtle Beach to help in the search. Brittanee's mother, Dawn Drexel, with other family members and friends have been searching the Myrtle Beach area since the beginning of the week. Thursday Brittanee's family got word from police that a young girl who matched Brittanee's description and was seen getting off a bus was not actually Britanee. Dawn Drexel told us by phone she's not surprised the sighting was incorrect. |

Interview with Cobra
Posted: Saturday, 02 May 2009 6:06AM P.I. Cobra Staubs on The Haleigh Investigation TJ Hart Reporting tjhart@entercom.com |
REPORTER'S NOTES 5/2/2009 Friday, I traveled to Putnam County, Florida like I've done so many days since 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings was taken from her Satsuma home on February 10, 2009. This trip was a little different. The toll this case has taken on me, my family and my friends was obvious. I was tired, angry and upset. My wife's last words to me out the door that morning were still ringing in my ears: "This is taking over your life: The mysterious calls in the middle of the night--the national TV--running to the radio station at all hours....I am worried!" I know she's right, but there is still a little girl who is missing and not a whole lot of people seem to care--including some members of her own family. When I got to Palatka, I stopped by the hotel where private investigator/bondsman/surety agent William "Cobra" Staubs was staying. The case has been tearing him up, too. He has been trying to move the investigation forward in his efforts to find Haleigh, but there always seems to be a roadblock at every turn --sometimes it's a faction within a local law enforcement agency, sometimes it's private citizens and sometimes it's the criminal element who would very much like for Staub's to leave their local "businesss operations" alone. Recently, Staubs has been falsely accused of operating outside his parameters as private investigator, bondsman and surety agent. Those allegations have been laid to rest by legal and law enforcement professionals who've actually read and comprehended the laws as it pertains to Staub's professions. I, too, have been taking some heat from some elements of law enforcement for airing factually correct reports regarding the bond revocation of Kristina Rene "Nay Nay" Prevatt. It was generally agreed that it wasn't what I said, but rather what listeners thought they heard. FYI--The word "arrested" was never used in those reports. I reluctantly, but professionally, apologized to law enforcement for whatever excitement was created and we agreed to move forward. Lt. Johnny Greenwood is a good man. I told Cobra Staubs I'd brought and old video camera with me and thought it would be a good idea if we both talked about the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance on tape with no edits. He agreed. What you will see in this video is about 22:18 of a very candid conversation about the ups, the downs, the misconceptions and facts about Haleigh's abduction and the way it has affected so many people. http://audio.thesky973.com/m/video/22207626/cobra-undedited-interview.htm?pageid=28469 REPORTER'S NOTES 4/30/2009 Kristina Rene "Nay Nay" Prevatt is out of the Putnam County Jail on bond as of about 9pm Wednesday night. Prevatt is a person described over the phone to me by Lt. Johnny Greenwood as not a suspect or person of interest the Haleigh Cummings disappearance, but who is a person who might know someone who knows something. He made that statement after chastising me over how WSKY's factually correct live reports Tuesday of her bond revocation were received by the locals and other media outlets. Prevatt, an associate of Haleigh's stepmother Misty Cummings, was originally jailed Monday April 20, 2009 along with Amber Brooks, the mother of a son fathered by Haleigh's father Ronald Cummings, on cocaine related charges. Both Prevatt and Brooks were bailed out of jail on the cocaine charges the same day they were arrested. Private investigator William "Cobra" Staubs bailed out both women in efforts to gain their confidence and hopefully get some information out of them as it pertained to the missing 5-year-old Satsuma girl. Prevatt's bond was revoked Tuesday because she was deemed a flight risk and a danger to herself. She was returned to the jail and placed under suicide watch. A doctor later said she was no longer a threat to herself. She was taken off suicide watch and later bonded out by man whose identity has not yet been confirmed. Sources tell the SKY the man who bailed out Prevatt is a 46-year-old white male sex offender under this legal description: "Sexual offender" means a person who meets the criteria in subparagraph 1., subparagraph 2., or subparagraph 3., as follows: 1.a. Has been convicted of committing, or attempting, soliciting, or conspiring to commit, any of the criminal offenses proscribed in the following statutes in this state or similar offenses in another jurisdiction: s. 787.01, s. 787.02, or s. 787.025(2)(c), where the victim is a minor and the defendant is not the victim's parent; chapter 794, excluding ss. 794.011(10) and 794.0235; s. 796.03; s. 796.035; s. 800.04; s. 825.1025; s. 827.071; s. 847.0133; s. 847.0135; s. 847.0137; s. 847.0138; s. 847.0145; or 1s. 985.701(1); Prevatt, also a friend of Brooks, acted as a matchmaker and chauffer for Misty Cummings by arranging a sex and drug-filled hookup with a local man Greg Page the weekend before Haleigh vanished. Misty Cummings was the last person to see Haleigh before she was abducted on February 10, 2009. http://www.thesky973.com/pages/4014463.php |

After a fruitless effort Saturday,
many of the groups searching for a missing New York teenager say they
will not return Sunday to the riverside area where her cell phone last
gave off a signal. As many as 50 people - including local law
enforcement officials, the S.C. Department of Natural Resources, rescue
dog teams and private search groups - searched the area around U.S. 17
and the South Santee River near the Georgetown-Charleston county line
on Saturday for 17-year-old Brittanee Marie Drexel. Drexel's
cell phone gave off its last known signal there Sunday, but was not in
use at the time and investigators have not determined how it got there,
said Georgetown County Sheriff Lane Cribb on Saturday. Phones normally
give off a signal until their batteries run out, he said.
Helicopters, land and water
teams are all lookied for the Rochester girl, but neither she nor her
phone was found, Cribb said. Only Myrtle Beach police are expected to
return to the area on Sunday.Drexel
was reported missing Sunday after she was last seen leaving one Myrtle
Beach hotel on foot but failed to show up at another one. She is still
considered a missing person, and police are continuing to speak to
people around the hotels in hopes of finding someone who saw her.

The search for a missing 17-year-old spring breaker
intensified Saturday as almost 50 men and women combed an area for
clues in southern Georgetown County.Searchers gathered at Pole
Yard Landing on the North Santee River around 10:00 a.m. and were
dispatched to look for any signs of 17-year-old Brittanee Drexel of
Rochester, N.Y., who went missing Saturday, April 25, from Ocean
Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.By 6:00 p.m., however, crews wrapped
up the search without any evidence, Lt. Chuck Capp with the Myrtle
Beach Police Department said.Investigators said earlier in the
week that a cell phone signal from Drexel's phone was traced to a cell
tower in the North Santee River area.Capp said the cell phone was active Saturday night into Sunday, but that there has been no activity on it since.Myrtle
Beach investigators were assisted by the Georgetown County Sheriff's
Office, S.C. Department of Natural Resources, Charleston County
Sheriff's Office, CUE Center for Missing Persons and other volunteer
agencies.Crews used about a dozen search dogs, several ATVs and
a boat to search along the river and Highway 17 and in areas
surrounding Pole Yard Landing."We have to exhaust all leads, and
we are going to do everything we can to answer our questions here, and
the leads are still being conducted and investigated up at the beach,"
said Lt. Capp.Capp said Drexel is still being treated as a missing person but that as more time passes, the less optimistic he becomes."You don't draw conclusions, but you worry with time," he said.Drexel
arrived in Myrtle Beach with a few friends from Rochester last
Wednesday without her mother's permission. They were staying at the Bar
Harbor Resort on Ocean Boulevard.By Friday, she had met up with a male friend, Peter Brozowitz also from Rochester, at Club Kryptonite, according to police.Drexel
met up with Brozowitz and a few other guys again on Saturday and went
back to their hotel room at the Blue Water Resort that night, police
said. But around 8:15 p.m., Drexel got a call from one of her
girlfriends at the Blue Water Resort. That friend wanted Drexel to
return a pair of shorts, so Drexel left Bar Harbor and was heading to
Blue Water, but according to police she never made it.Lt. Capp
said Saturday that police have other leads that they are actively
pursuing, and he said the search in Georgetown County may be scaled

The mother of
missing New York teen Brittanee Drexel thinks her daughter could be
dead after going on a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach against her
wishes.
Dawn Drexel told WHEC News 10 in Rochester, N.Y. that her daughter would never run away.
"I seriously think someone took my daughter or she may not be alive," Dawn Drexel said.Britannee Drexel, a junior at Gates-Chili High School in Rochester, N.Y., left the Bar Harbor
Hotel in Myrtle Beach at about 8 p.m. on April 25 to visit a friend
named Peter Broswick, who was with a group of male friends at the
nearby Blue Water Resort.
Detectives think Broswick may have been the last one to see the missing teen alive.
Broswick, who is also from Rochester, left Myrtle Beach to return home about 1
a.m. the night Drexel was last seen, according to News Channel 15's
CarolinaLive.com. He and several others were questioned, but were
cleared as suspects, according to the missing teen's mother.
"As far as I know they’ve done what they needed to do as far as those boys
are concerned back home," said Dawn Drexel. "They’re not persons of
interest anymore."
South Carolina authorities focused their search over the weekend on an area
just south of where the teen disappeared after discovering the last
place her cell phone gave off a signal.
Searchers using dogs, helicopters and boats concentrated on a 7-mile area along the South Santee River and U.S. 17.
Drexel's cell phone signal was captured last Sunday, a day after police say the teen was last seen.
Myrtle Beach Capt. David Knipes told reporters the search hasn't yielded any new clues in the case.
Dawn Drexel, has said she is concerned because the teen suffers from
depression. The girl may have been upset because she and her husband
are getting divorced, Drexel said.

Latest news on Haleigh Cummings
SATSUMA -- Saturday marks three months since
Haleigh Cummings, 5, disappeared from her home in Putnam County.
Investigators say leads are not coming in as fast as they once did.James
Batchelor moved to the back woods of Satsuma for the peace and quite.
All that changed Feb. 9 when the little girl who played with her
brother down the street just vanished in the middle of the night.."I
look down there and they'd be out there and just having a big time and
all -- BAM -- all this happened," said Batchelor, a neighbor of the
Cummings family.Batchelor was referring to the night that Putnam Sheriff's investigators say Haleigh Cummings was snatched from her home.An
intense search followed for several weeks by ground, water and air.
Active searching has been abandoned with few clues leading to her
whereabouts."It's frustrating for investigators. It's
frustrating for the family. It's frustrating for the community down
there," said Capt. Dick Shauland of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Two tents where Haleigh's parents held round-the-clock vigils are gone.Even
Haleigh's father moved from the home she disappeared from. They lived a
short distance from where authorities set up a command center. The
command center is also gone, moved from Satsuma to Palatka. The
Haleigh Cummings command center is no longer located at the Putnam
County emergency operations center. Tips and leads have dwindled from
several thousand to just a few."They dropped off from several hundred a day to just several a day now," Shauland said.Haleigh's
house is quiet. The landlord says no one has been around for days. Only
pictures, prayers and words of hope are left behind."She'll be
found one way or another, and I hope to God it'll be alive because the
little angel didn't deserve -- she didn't deserve it," Batchelor said.

several thousand to just a few."They dropped off from several hundred a day to just several a day now," Shauland said.Haleigh's
house is quiet. The landlord says no one has been around for days. Only
pictures, prayers and words of hope are left behind."She'll be
found one way or another, and I hope to God it'll be alive because the
little angel didn't deserve -- she didn't deserve it," Batchelor said.

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
I am so pissed this case has been dropped from the media. I think someone in that family knows something. I don't think Crystal does thou. Something I can't figure out, I think Crystal and her Fiance is still staying there, if so, how can they do that? I mean they have a home someplace...don't they have to be there to take care of things, and pay bills??? Same thing of Ronald and Misty...I think they are staying with his Mom, but I don't understand how they can live without working...

Haleigh Cummings: My Interview With Cobra Staubs
Posted in May 7th, 2009
by Stone in All News, Interview, Society and Culture
I asked Cobra questions that I needed answers to. This case is full
of drama but there are few hard facts. Cobra is the man on the ground
and he appears to be the only source of information. Let me tell you
right now there is not much information coming from law enforcement,
but people like Cobra and TJ Hart of Sky 97.3 are doing the very best
they can to unveil the truth.
Cobra was kind enough to grant an interview:
S: Are you from Florida?
C: Originally I’m from Virginia, a Virginia common wealth boy. I moved to Florida in 1975, I reside in Broward County.
S: You are a bondsmen and investigator right?
C: I am a licensed private investigator by the state of Florida, a
licensed bondsmen in the state of Florida, and a licensed general
contractor in the state of Florida.
S: You work for yourself right?
C: Yes I own Case Closed Inc. and Lighting Strike Force bail bonds company
S: Do you believe Haleigh is alive?
C: YES
S: Is Haleigh being passed around through different people?
C: Yes family type people. I will put it this way, law enforcement does not think a stranger is involved in the abduction.
S: Do you know who has her know?
C: If I did I would be hugging Haleigh right now not here with you.
S: Who has custody of Ron Jr.?
C: Ron Cummings has physical custody of Ron Jr. They live at Ron’s grandmothers in Welaka, Florida.
S: Do you think Ron Cummings is who he portrays himself to be for the media?
C: NO
S: Do you think Crystal Sheffield is who she portrays herself to be for the media?
C: NO I don’t think any of them have clean hands.
S: Are Nay Nay and Amber still part of the investigation?
C: Never were. I helped them by trying to get them into rehab to better themselves, but they have reneged on it.
S: Did you ask Ron to go back to the house for another look?
C: Yes, he initially said ok. It was planned for the following day.
By that time he had lawyered up. And told me that anything you need you
can talk to my lawyer about.
S: Is Ron out searching for his daughter?
C: Hell NO
S: Out of curiosity how much has your search for Haleigh cost you?
C: To date approximately $35,000
S: Are drugs a factor in Haleigh’s disappearance?
C: Ron allowed Misty to care for Haleigh and Jr. after days of partying on drugs. So yes drugs could be a factor.
S: Are you getting opposition from the local commutniy?
C: Yes but I have some support.
S: Could there be charges for Ron and or Misty when Haleigh is found?
C: Whoever did this needs to be charged
S: Has Ron ever helped you in your search for Haleigh?
C: NO
S: Has Ron ever thanked you for searching for Haleigh?
C: NO
S:How close are you to finding Haleigh?
C: Thats on God’s time table, I pray every day.
S: Is there anything you would like to say to the haters? I call them my fannery.
C: Quit your b*tching get up and help find Haleigh.
S: Cobra I really want to thank you for taking time to talk with me.
You have answered a lot of questions that I, and many other people have
about this case. I am sure I speak for many people when I say thank you
for sticking with this case. If my kids were missing I would want Cobra
searching for them.
Thank you, Mr. Staubs for your time. Thank you for not tucking tail and skinning out on Haleigh. God bless you sir.

Re: HALEIGH CUMMINGS - 5 yo - Satsuma FL - The Beginning
The state Department of Children and Families continues to review
abuse allegations made by the mother of Haleigh Cummings regarding the
status of Haleigh's younger brother, Ronald Cummings Jr., who lives
with his father.
"The investigation is still going on," John
Harrell, spokesman for the DCF in Jacksonville, said. "We have been
given information and we are continuing to investigate."
Ronald
Junior lives at his great-grandmother's house in Welaka with his
father, Ronald Cummings, and stepmother, Misty Croslin, after his
5-year-old sister vanished from their South Putnam home in February.
Crystal
Sheffield, Haleigh's mother, retained Fort Lauderdale attorney Kim
Picazio to help with the news media shortly after her daughter's
disappearance, and Picazio has continued to represent her in the DCF
investigation.
"It's not about Crystal, it's about the state of Florida looking
into if Ronald is a fit parent and whether or not Junior is in a safe
home," Picazio said. "And yes, they are still evaluating that."
Harrell
said that though the investigation is continuing, the DCF would not
remove any child from a home unless they were in danger.
"The
department's first priority is child safety," Harrell said. "In any
situation we would not allow a child to remain in a home if they were
in danger, but that has to be determined."
Attorneys for Ronald
Cummings, Greg Kimball and T. Jerry Snider, deny abuse occurred and say
the child has a stable family environment at the grandmother's home.
"Right
now, Ronald and Misty are living with Ronald's grandmother, who is
providing a stable home, and the DCF is fine with that," Snider said.
Cummings
continues to look for work after losing his job as a crane operator,
Kimball said, adding he and his law partner anticipate a child-custody
dispute would be initiated by Sheffeld if the state doesn't act.
"It's still very possible that they will go to the courts now," Snider said.
Picazio, Kimball and Snider all said they were working "pro bono" or without charge.
Picazio declined to say whether a custody case would be filed in court.
Cummings's
attorneys said that if the case did go to court, DCF information would
be considered as evidence, but both sides would have to provide
witnesses.
"The threshold is not only the best interest of the
child, but when you bring that petition you have to allege that there
has been a substantial change in circumstances," Snider said.
Meanwhile, authorities say the investigation into Haleigh's disappearance is continuing.
Haleigh
was reported missing from her Satsuma home at 3 a.m. on Feb. 10.
Despite a massive search and criminal investigation, no trace of the
blond-haired kindergartener has been found.
Capt. Dick Schauland, spokesman for the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, said Thursday detectives are still working the case.
"There have been more than 4,000 tips reported, and they are still following up on tips," Schauland said. "It's still going."
