April Whalen’s father thinks his daughter spoke to Casey Anthony in jail

Lynn told ABCNews.com his daughter told him that when in jail, she once slept next to Casey's cell.

“I think she did talk to her [Casey Anthony],” he said.

When asked what he thought about the possibility that Casey could be using the loss his family experienced as a defense in her murder trial, Lynn responded, “I think that whole situation is a sad situation.”

April's name was first brought up in court out of the presence of the jury on Tuesday, when prosecutor Linda Drane-Burdick told Judge Belvin Perry that the state had been contacted by the Orange County Sheriff's Office regarding a tip that Casey may have garnered her defense story from another inmate.
