WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - West Palm Beach
Police are searching for a missing family. The Department of Children
and Family Services reported Iraetta Frierson, who is nine months
pregnant, her 4-year-old and 2-year-old daughters, and her boyfriend,
Mattew Lowe, missing. The two children are under the custody and
care of DCF after Frierson was charged with child neglect last July.
West Palm Beach Police said she left three of her children, ages 10, 3
and 1, home alone while she went clubbing with her mother. According
to her neighbors, Frierson’s older daughter was returned to her care.
Now, they are concerned for Iraetta and the children. Iraetta’s
neighbors in Robinson Village on 45th Street in West Palm Beach said she
had visitation rights with her girls and had no reason to abduct them.
They haven’t seen her for weeks. No one answers her apartment door. Now,
they fear the worst. "I'm scared for her and the children,” said
one neighbor, who did not want to be identified. “I'm very scared for
her and the kids." One neighbor said she's known Iraetta and her
family for four years, but the outgoing woman she met changed when
Iraetta started seeing Mattew Lowe last fall. Lowe served a total of six
years in prison for stealing several cars. “I used to see her all the time,” she said.
“She used to be out here, hanging out, chilling and having fun.” The
last time people saw Iraetta Frierson at her apartment in Robinson
Village was about a month ago. One neighbor told us they say Iraetta
packing her clothes into the back of Lowe's black Dodge Charger, but
they say they're not sure if she went willingly. "I don't think so,” said her neighbor.
“I really don't. She just wanted love but she got love in the wrong places." No
one knows where Iraetta is now. A parole officer knocked on her door of
her apartment this afternoon. There was no answer and the power has
been cut off. "I just pray that she comes home and everybody
wishes for the best that she'll be back,” said her neighbor. “Her and
her kids, safe and sound." Iraetta Frierson’s neighbors said she
has a fourth child, a little girl, possibly 2 or 3, who lives with the
child’s father. If you have any information about where Iraetta Frierson
or Mattew Lowe are, call police.

Re: The FRIERSON Children - 2yo & 4yo (& Mother, Iraetta & Boyfriend) - West Palm Beach FL
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Authorities have located two West Palm Beach
girls who were reported missing last week, according to Chase Scott,
West Palm Beach Police spokesman. He said Jelaysia Gaines, 1, and
Shamia Frierson, 4, were found in Tallahassee late Friday evening
“uninjured.” The girls are now in the custody of the Florida Department
of Children and Families (DCF). The girls were last seen on July 1. "Thankfully,
these two little girls are safe and doing well," said Elisa Cramer,
director of communications with the Department of Children and Families
in Palm Beach County. "They are being cared for in a respite
licensed foster home, and the Department of Children and Families and
our child welfare partners are diligently seeking an appropriate
placement for them. We also will be providing the girls any necessary
supports and services. We appreciate the collaborative efforts of law
enforcement and the community," she said. Both the girls’ mother
Iraetta Frierson, 33, and her boyfriend, Matthew Lowe, 41, have criminal
records and are under arrest in Tallahassee, Scott said. Frierson
was arrested for violation of her probation for child neglect. She had
lost custody of the children after leaving them alone in 2010. Lowe was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant. His criminal record includes a six-year stint in prison for grand theft. On Wednesday DCF notified police that the four were missing and on Thursday police asked for the public’s help in finding them. Investigators believe Frierson left voluntarily with Lowe.
