"Toddler Jane Doe" - 2 yo/ Accused: Diego Gonzales - Albuquerque NM

An Albuquerque man accused of abusing his
girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter has been indicted by a Bernalillo
County grand jury. The district attorney's office announced the indictment of 34-year-old
Diego Gonzales on Friday. He's accused of abusing the girl and leaving
her seriously injured.
The indictment includes charges of child abuse, kidnapping, aggravated
assault, battery upon a peace officer and resisting, evading or
obstructing an officer.
The girl's mother told Albuquerque police she was at Gonzales's apartment with her two children in late February.
She says she went to sleep and woke up later to find Gonzales in the
living room with her 2-year-old. She says she saw bruises and bite marks on
the toddler's body.
Gonzales told police he was drunk and didn't remember anything.
Prosecutors say a court date for Gonzales has yet to be scheduled.
