Judge To Decide If Casey Civil Case Moves Ahead
Anthony Attorneys File For Summary Judgement

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A legal showdown could come to a head Friday in the civil suit against Casey Anthony.

Anthony's attorneys do not want the case to go to trial, so they've filed a motion for summary judgement. That means they want the judge to rule without a trial.

Zenaida Gonzalez is suing Anthony for defamation. She said Anthony ruined her good name when she told investigators that a woman with the same name, Zenaida Gonzalez, kidnapped her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.

Anthony's civil attorney said his client never said anything defamatory about Gonzalez -- not this particular Gonzalez.

Gonzalez attorneys want to subpoena Anthony to appear for the trial. They also filed a motion to obtain her social media posts.

The attorney said any Twitter accounts that appear to be Anthony's are fake. He said he would drop Anthony as a client if she were talking about the case on Internet.
