"Newborn John" ANDERSEN - 11 Weeks - Lincoln NE

Authorities have charged a Lincoln man with felony child abuse for allegedly breaking his 11-week-old son's leg.

Staff at BryanLGH Medical Center West discovered the
injury Monday night when the child's mother brought the infant to the
hospital saying he had a fever, constipation and something wrong with
his leg, according to an arrest affidavit.

Police questioned Sirjustin Andersen, 26, and believe he
broke the baby's leg that morning while putting him in a child carrier,
according to the affidavit.

Andersen made an initial court appearance Tuesday
before Judge Jean Lovell, who set his bond at 10 percent of $50,000. He
remained in jail Wednesday evening.
