AYDEN FOWLKES - 2 yo/ Abducted by Father-Jonathan - Tipton (NE Memphis) TN

UPDATE 6:41 a.m.: Investigators have recovered the red Jeep Fowlkes
was last seen driving, but Jonathan and Ayden Fowlkes remain missing.


(Tipton Co., TN) An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 2-year-old boy. taken by his father.

Information released in Amber Alert:

The Tipton County Sheriff’s Department has issued a West Tennessee AMBER Alert for 2 year-old Ayden Fowlkes.

Ayden is a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is 2’0″ tall and weighs 32 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt and a diaper. He was taken by
his father, Jonathan Fowlkes, from his residence at approximately at
12:30 a.m. on May 4, 2012.

The child may have injuries to his head that occurred during the abduction.

The father assaulted other members of the family after breaking into the
residence and beating the mother’s boyfriend’s vehicle with a baseball bat.

Fowlkes is a 27 year-old white male with hazel eyes and brown hair. He is 6’0″ tall and weighs 160 lbs.

He was under the influence of crack cocaine according to the family.

He is driving a red 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Mississippi license plate MJX303.

He may be in route to either Jackson, Mississippi or Jackson, Tennessee.

Authorities found a toddler who was taken by his biological father in a violent abduction in West Tennessee.

A dispatcher for the Tipton County Sheriff's office said
Friday morning that deputies had found 2-year-old Ayden Fowlkes and
doctors were examining him. Authorities earlier located the sport
utility vehicle driven by 27-year-old Jonathan Fowlkes, but Fowlkes and
his son were not in it.


Fowlkes and the boy were found after daylight in Tipton County.


Authorities said Fowlkes broke into the home of the
child's mother shortly after midnight Thursday and beat her boyfriend
with a baseball bat before taking his son. The family said Fowlkes was
under the influence of crack cocaine and police believe the boy was
injured in the abduction.
