Police are investigating what happened to a
3-month-old girl who was found in critical condition Tuesday after a
man in the apartment with her called 911.

Rescue workers called police to the Hollybrook Homes apartment
complex at 104 King St. in Northwest Jacksonville Tuesday evening after
responding to a call from a man who may be the child's father, said
homicide detective Glenn Warkentien of the Jacksonville Sheriff's
Office.

He said detectives were trying to determine if foul play was involved
and were meeting with the girl's family. He said one man was alone with
the girl in the apartment.

He said the girl remained in critical condition late Tuesday.
