VICKSBURG, Miss. —A Vicksburg man has been sentenced to five years in prison for his role in the 2013 fatal shooting of a Vicksburg High School student.
The Vicksburg Post reported that Devontae Montgomery was sentenced last week by Warren County Circuit Judge M. James Chaney. Montgomery had earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.
Authorities said 17-year-old KeMarvin Stamps, a freshman at Vicksburg High School, was shot and killed March 15, 2013.
Authorities said Stamps was standing on the road with an unidentified teen and was shot during an argument with three people in a truck.
Another man, Christopher Devon Jones, was earlier sentenced to five years in prison on the same charge.
Authorities said the cases against five other defendants are pending.

WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) - Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace says a seventh person has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Kemarvin Stamps March 16.
Tyler Jones, 18, was arrested at an apartment complex on Fisher Ferry Road in Vicksburg without incident Thursday, according to the sheriff.
Pace said investigators have known since the early stages of the investigation that Jones was involved, but recently they were able to determine his actual identity and a warrant was issued for him.
Kemarvin, of Vicksburg, died at 3:55 p.m. March 16 in the intensive care unit of the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Authorities say shots were fired out of a pick-up truck and one of them hit Stamps in the head around midnight in the 4900 block of Gibson Road.
Investigators were able to recover the vehicle involved in the shooting based on a description from someone who was with Kemarvin, according to Pace.
Pace hasn't released any specifics about who investigators believe fired the shot that killed Kemarvin.
However, the sheriff said the District Attorney has been involved in the case since the beginning, and at the District Attorney's guidance, all of the people believed to be in the truck at the time of the shooting have been arrested and charged with the murder.
Six other teens were arrested following the shooting.
Romaire Brown, 16, was arrested at this home in Vicksburg April 3. He is being charged as an adult, according to Pace.
Melvin D. Wiggins Jr., 18, is the suspected driver of the vehicle. De'Mario Mixon, 19, and Christopher Devon James, 19, were allegedly passengers in the vehicle.
Marquis Black, 15, of Vicksburg was arrested March 21 at a house on Mitchell Avenue in Jackson by the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force. Pace says Black was immediately certified to stand trial as an adult because of a previous adult felony armed robbery charge.
Devontae Montgomery, 19, was picked up in Bell County, Texas, on March 26.
