State Police are searching for a 5 year old Delaware boy who was taken by his father.


30 year old Angel Duprey,
a Hispanic male from Philadelphia took his 5 year old son
Zion Duprey, from the 8300 block of Collet Lane in Lincoln.



Angel Duprey has an active protection from abuse order against him in Pennsylvania
which prohibits him from contact with his girlfriend and their three children, one of
which is Zion.



He entered the Collet Lane home without anyone's knowledge and went to the back of
the home where his son was playing, the boy's grandmother tried to stop Duprey from
taking the boy but was unsuccessful.



Zion is wearing blue jean shorts and a blue shirt with white designs, he weighs about
25 pounds and is two feet three inches tall.



The father is 6'2 165lbs wearing blue jeans, shirtless, and has tattoos around his
neck.



The suspect was last seen in a blue 1995 Buick Lasabre but Police say the vehicle was
located north bound on Route 1 in the area of Odessa with neither Zion or Angel Duprey
in sight.

were residing with their mother and their grandmother. The suspect
entered the unlocked front door and walked to the rear of the
residence. The suspect grabbed the child. The grandmother tried to take
the child back, but the suspect swung at her with back of his hand. The
suspect did not strike the grandmother. The suspect was able to flee
from the home with him on his lap in the front seat. The suspect has an
active protection from abuse order, issued on June 19, 2009 from
Pennsylvannia which prohibits him from contact with his girlfriend or
their three children. The vehicle the suspect was last seen traveling
in has been located in Odessa, DE. The suspect and child were not in
the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Troop 5 at

An Amber Alert was issued today for a 5-year-old boy abducted by his father from the child’s home in Lincoln, state police said.


The missing boy is Zion Zuprey,
who has black hair and brown eyes. He weighs about 25 pounds and is 2
feet, three inches tall. He was last seen wearing blue jean shorts to

Dear Lord...here we go again! for this very small child. He's 5 years old and only 2'3" and only weighs 25 lbs...(Alex is 2 1/2, I'm sure at least that tall and weighs almost 40 lbs...and he is by no means overweight). Why did the father take this child and not his other 2 children? I fear there is nothing good about this case nor the outcome :sadness: I pray I am wrong.

Delaware State Police are still investigating a child abduction,
which activated an Amber Alert earlier today. At this time the Amber
Alert has been taken down due to the fact that the suspect's mode of
transportation is now unknown.

Just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Zion Duprey, 5, was
taken from his home and police believe he is in the custody of his
father Angel D. Duprey, 30, of Philadelphia.
Duprey is described as a 6'2", 165 lbs Hispanic male with brown hair and tattoos on his neck.
According to police Duprey drove to the 8300 block of Collet Lane in
Lincoln, where his three children live with their mother and
grandmother. Duprey is believed to have entered the home through the
unlocked front door without notice and grabbed his five-year-old son.
The suspect's vehicle was located north bound in the area of Odessa at about 5 p.m.
The suspect and child were not in the vehicle.
Reportedly, the grandmother was home at the time and attempted to
take back the young boy but was unsuccessful. Duprey fled the home with
his son in a blue 1995 Buick LeSabre with a white top and possibly
bearing a Pennsylvania registration.
Delaware police warn that Duprey has an active protection from abuse
order, issued in June of 2009 from the state of Pennsylvania which
prohibits him to have contact with his girlfriend or their children.
Zion was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and a white t-shirt with
a blue design on the front, if you have any information about his

The Amber Alert has been retracted but police are still trying to find 5 year old Zion Duprey.
Since Authorities found Angel Duprey's Buick with a flat tire on the side of Route 1
near Odessa, they are trying to determine where he may have gone.
Police received an anonymous 911 call from a man who had second hand information
saying a female acquaintance gave the suspect and victim a ride to the People's Plaza in
Glasgow after seeing them broken down.
After the caller heard the story and saw the amber alert he believed the Good
Samaritan had picked the Duprey's up.
Troopers are still trying to find the woman to see if she has any additional
information.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or call crimestoppers

Police: Man Abducted Son From Ex-Girlfriend's Home
Delaware police are still searching for a man and his son two days after the alleged kidnapping. Angel
Duprey is still on the run after police said he took 5-year-old Zion
from his ex-girlfriend's Sussex County home Saturday afternoon. Duprey's car was found Saturday on northbound Route 1 near Odessa. Police
said after the alleged abduction the suspect's car got a flat and the
two hitched a ride toward Philadelphia but only got as far as New
Castle. Police believe a woman gave them a ride not knowing about the Amber Alert. "He
has an active protection from abuse order that was initiated in
Philadelphia on June 19. That protection from abuse for his estranged
girlfriend and his three children," said Delaware State Police Lt.
Melissa Zebley. The boy was described as being approximately 25
pounds and 2 feet 3 inches tall, having black hair and brown eyes, and
he was last wearing blue jean shorts to the knees and a blue shirt with
white designs. Authorities described the 30-year-old father as a
Hispanic male from Philadelphia, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 165 pounds, with
brown hair and tattoos around his neck. He was last seen wearing no
shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call police.

A 5-year-old Delaware boy kidnapped Saturday by his father was found
early this morning in a Burlington County hotel room, police said.The
boy, Zion Duprey, was found unharmed with his father, Angel Duprey, 30,
of Philadelphia at 1:10 a.m. at the Westin Hotel in Mount Laurel. They
were with a 21-year-old woman, Bessie Rivera.Duprey and Rivera were arrested with an undisclosed amount of PCP-laced
marijuana and unauthorized prescription drugs in their possession,
police said.Duprey has been charged with interference with custody, possession of
drugs with intent to distribute and being a fugitive, according to
Mount Laurel police. Rivera was charged with drug possession.An Amber Alert was issued for Zion after his father allegedly entered
the Lincoln, Del., home of the boy's mother and grandmother and
forcibly abducted his son.The father had an active protection abuse order, issued in Pennsylvania
on June 19, which prohibited him from contact with the Zion's mother
and their three children.Duprey's vehicle was found abandoned with a flat tire on U.S. Route 1
near Middletown, Del., 46 miles north of Lincoln. The Westin Hotel is
another 60 miles away.
