JAMES BATES - 16 yo / Mentally challenged - Osage Beach MO
A 16-year-old mentally challenged boy is missing after his mother dropped him off at a high school football game Friday.
After
his mother dropped him off at Osage High School at 5 p.m., James Bates
texted her asking to stay the night at a friend's house. When she
contacted the friend the next day, the friend said he had not seen
Bates since the football game and that he'd never said anything about
staying the night.
Bates is on medication for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and
Tourette's Syndrome, which his mother said he has not taken since
Friday.
Bates is 6-foot-2 and weighs 180 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes
and a tan complexion. On Friday he was wearing a zip-up gray
sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black and white tennis shoes.
Officials ask anyone with information to call 911 or the Miller County Sheriff's Office at 573-369-2341.
