San Diego CA ---- Authorities asked the public on Thursday to be on the
lookout for a 15-year-old girl who went missing last week during a visit
to a friend's East County home.

disappeared after being dropped off by her mother on Pepper Drive in an
unincorporated area near El Cajon last Thursday morning, according to
sheriff's officials.

The teenager has not had any contact with
family or friends since then, and her cellular telephone was powered
down two days later.

She is white, 5 feet tall, about 110 pounds
and has short black hair, blue eyes, a slim build and no tattoos or
visible scars.

Anyone with information on the teen's whereabouts
is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at (858) 565-5200.

Thursday morning around 7am. Marie was supposed to spend the day with a
friend and then return later that same night. Her phone was powered
down two days later.
The teen has ties with friends in Lakeside and unincorporated areas
of El Cajon. She also has asthma, but may have her inhaler with her.

role in her recovery, according to sheriff's officials.
