"Baby John Doe" - 6 Months - Wichita KS

WICHITA — A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of child
abuse after doctors discovered his 6-month-old son had a broken left
leg, police said.
The man called 911 at about 6:15 p.m. Thursday to report that his
son was acting abnormally fussy. Paramedics went to the man's house in
the 800 block of West Mentor, near Maple and McLean, but a cursory
examination found no cause for concern, police said.
But the father insisted that the child be taken to a hospital for
a more involved examination, and doctors at Via Christi Hospital on
East Harry discovered the injury. The father was interviewed by police
and booked into jail.
