An Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-month-old baby boy taken from in front of a Riverdale home Saturday
night, the Fresno Sheriff's Office said.Investigators said Edgar Ramos, 19, the baby's father, was visiting the child about 7:30 p.m. in front of a home in the 3500 block of West Henson Avenue, where the baby
and his mother live.When the boy's mother, who has not been identified, went inside to get something to put on the baby's cold feet, Ramos apparently took the child, a sheriff's spokesman said.The
baby, Elijah Jayden Rivas, was last seen wearing a black sweatsuit. He is 1-foot, 8-inches long, weighs 15 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.Ramos' car was found Saturday night in Wasco, where he
lives. Sheriff's investigators are searching Kern and Kings counties, where Ramos is known to have friends. Ramos is 5-feet-7 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Amber Alert from Fresno County; Wasco connection

An Amber Alert has been issued out of Riverdale in Fresno County for a
10-month-old boy. The baby's father lives on 4th Street in Wasco and
Kern County Sheriff's deputies found his car there earlier, a lieutenant
said, but as of 6:15 p.m. they have not found the father or the boy and
have exhausted all leads about where they may be.

Circumstances: A CHILD ABDUCTION OCCURRED ON 2-12-2011 AT 1930 HOURS,
ELIJAH RIVAS WAS ABDUCTED BY HIS BIOLOGICAL FATHER, EDGAR RAMOS FROM
RIVERDALE, FRESNO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. ELIJAH RIVAS IS A 10 MONTH OLD
HISPANIC MALE, BROWN EYES, BROWN HAIR, 20 INCHES LONG, 15 POUNDS, AND
WEARING A BLACK SWEATSUIT. EDGAR RAMOS IS A 19 YEAR OLD HISPANIC MALE,
5' 7", 150 POUNDS, BROWN HAIR AND BROWN EYES, UNKNOWN CLOTHING. RAMOS
HAS A MOUSTACHE AND A GOATEE. THE VEHICLE THAT RAMOS WAS DRIVING AT THE
TIME OF THE ABDUCTION HAS ALREADY BEEN RECOVERED. THERE IS NO OTHER
VEHICLE INFORMATION AT THIS TIME.

AMBER Alert issued for missing baby in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KGO) --
A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued for a 10-month-old boy reportedly kidnapped from Fresno.
The baby was reportedly abducted from his mother's home in the Fresno County town of Riverdale. Elijah Rivas is 20 inches tall, weighs 15 pounds and has brown hair and
brown eyes. Authorities say he was kidnapped by his biological father,
19-year old Edgar Ramos, who under court order, is only allowed to visit
his son under supervision. Authorities say it was during those
supervised visits when the kidnapping occurred.
Ramos is 5'7"and weighs 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
The Fresno County Sheriff's Department says they are concerned about the
baby's safety because Ramos made suicidal statements to the baby's
mother before taking off with him. Detectives are following leads in
bordering counties but they are counting on the public's help. If you
have seen either baby Elijah or the suspect, Edgar Ramos, authorities
want you to call 9-1-1.
