So, Mr. Shaw for the FBI was up first. But only after an hour long bitchfest from the defense about how they didn’t get (whaaa, whaaa) this and the meanies at the State didn’t give that. So, part of the problem was the PowerPoint the State wanted to show the jury of evidence pics of the Q12 hair and other hairs from a study that Shaw did on hair banding and trying to ‘force’ banding on non-cadaver hairs. They did this by placing the hairs in materials such as pine soil and water for 100 days. None exhibited the banding but did show decomposition.
Judge Perry allowed a ‘proffer’ which turned into a hearing outside the presence of the jury. The defense made some valid points but what I found amusing was that as part of his objection Baez stated that they didn’t know what they may have found if they had been given all they wanted. Judge Perry basically said there’s more in the universe we don’t know and that the objection needed to be based on what prejudice the client would have if the witness was allowed.
Once again Judge Perry read all the indictments and the possible death penalty by legal injection out loud for Miss Princess. Didn’t see any tears this time. She does seem more bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. Guess Sunday provided her with some good rest up for her murder trial time.
