Re: KYRON HORMAN - 7 yo - Portland OR
As much as I hate to say this, I have felt since the first notification of it, that the step mom is involved. Another case where some one just doesnt care about the kids anymore. I can't say she did something premeditated, but I do feel she is covering something up. I sure hope they find this child and lock away the @$$ hole who is responsible. Prayers for you my little man!

From your link:
"Here are some facts that wont make the news, from someone who has heard
everything, here are some facts.
-The step mom walked to the classroom with Kyron to drop off his
backpack but chose not to walk him back to the classroom when the show
was over. (For anyone who has ever been to an elementary school, it is
very weird for a parent not to walk their second grader back to class
and say good bye)
-The step mom saw the teacher, is a crowded and loud gym, to inform her
that Kyron had an appointment. Thats all that was said. Thats why when
the teacher saw Kyron wasn't in class she thought nothing of it.
-The step mom acknowledged the fact that she said Kyron had an
appointment, but she said that she ment it was for next week.
-The step mom e mailed the teacher when she got home asking when she
would pick up his science fair stuff."
End -
I don't want to even go there, but it looks like this "step-mom" knew all the right moves to make...from the picture on FB, to the notifying of the teacher, to calling immediately after school. However, the sad thing is, all of that could be construed as normal and loving. But let's remember one thing here...that was his STEP-MOM. It is common in the animal kingdom for the newcomer to get rid of the previous offspring. I'm just saying, not casting aspersions...I still want to know where the heck the school cameras were.....I just have a feeling this child wasn't randomly abducted...
And Onehope, she has removed that game link. It's gone. I wish I had seen it, I would've taken a screen shot, and for what it is worth, those posts happen immediately. I know for myself, I find games to be a way to keep my mind sharp, and a nice momentary diversion, but not if my CHILD is missing. No way, no how. She had the presence of mind to conveniently upload a pic of Kyron and create a page? ....I promise, I would not have thought of that first thing.... The FIRST thing I would've done was go to the school and demand some answers. Show me the tapes. Then, go to the police and demand answers. I'd search the neighborhood, his friends' houses, call each classmate...visit personally...I sure as hell would not have started a FB page right off the bat. Sometimes when people do things too quickly, it looks staged and premeditated. I hope to God I am wrong, but from the outside looking in, that is what it looks like to me - Staged and Premeditated. Everything is too perfect, like she KNEW he was going to go missing, and here's what will look good to the public, like she is a grieving, worried step-mom, and what a good parent she was. Nope, I don't buy it. And where is dad in all of this?

Have to agree with you on this one. Somethings rotten in Denmark and the step-mom knows what.

ok, I don't know if this is anything but...these pics were added to the "stepmoms" FB on the 4th at 4:21..the first one is of Kyron and the second is of a different boy...It sounds like the stepmom took the pics...so maybe LE should find the second boy and ask if he seen the stepmom with Kyron..

Yes and the way the Sheriff was at the press conference leads one to believe he knows something, and that something is not good...I still suspect the stepmom...even her photos on FB tell me something...the pics of Kyron was not put on her FB page until that day but she has tons of all the other kids...JMO

A truck driver said he saw a child who
resembled a missing second-grade boy on Highway 26 on Saturday
afternoon.David Vaughan said he was driving toward Portland when a
pickup truck turned in front of him onto Salmon Berry Road in western
Washington County. Vaughan said he slammed his brakes to avoid a
collision with the gray or black truck. He said he saw a boy in
the front seat who looked like Kyron Horman."I
saw this young boy looking out the window at me (with) a startled look
on his face and that was it until I got home that evening. My wife and I
were talking and we saw this come on the news, and it flashed that this
looked very familiar to me -- a very distinctive young man and I
thought it was worth making a call," Vaughan said.Vaughan said he
received a call back from an FBI agent Monday morning.Multnomah

Re: KYRON HORMAN - 7 yo - Portland OR
Relatives of a 7-year-old Portland boy who went missing from his
elementary school and hasn't been seen for five days urged those working
to find him to carry on the search with optimism.Twenty-two
state, local and federal agencies have been following up on more than
1,200 tips in the search for Kyron Horman, who disappeared from Skyline
Elementary School on Friday. Multnomah County sheriff's deputies and
volunteers have been searching the densely wooded area near the pastoral
school since then.Kelly Ramirez, the sister of the boy's mother,
issued a statement Monday evening thanking everyone who has "worked
tirelessly on Kyron's behalf" and asked people to print and distribute
fliers with the boy's photo."Above all do not give up hope, as we
certainly never will," she said. "He is out there and we are going to
find him and bring him home safe where he belongs."Sheriff's
deputies and FBI agents posted about 40 yards from the school stopped
approaching cars Monday morning and asked passengers whether they were
at the school Friday.Sheriff's Capt. Jason Gates described the
variety of tips as "leads that aren't as exciting, and other leads that
are more prevalent.""We need more," he said at a news conference
Monday. "Every tip, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could
be the one we need."Speaking again to reporters about four hours
later, Gates said authorities have received information from across
Oregon and from Washington state. Most of the tips were from within
Oregon, he said.Searchers spent Monday continuing to comb through
woods and brush around the school, located in hilly countryside west of
downtown Portland.Authorities also questioned school employees
and parents of children who attend the school."It's very
important we interview every person who was at the school on Friday,"
Gates said.Kyron was last seen about 9 a.m. Friday, shortly after
the boy and his stepmother attended a science fair at the school. She
last saw him walking down a hallway toward his second-grade classroom,
wearing a "CSI" T-shirt and dark cargo pants.A search began after
classes let out and Kyron didn't come home on the bus. His stepmother
called 911 about 3:45 p.m., and sheriff's deputies and K-9 units began a
search of the school and the two-mile route to his home.Authorities
have not yet determined whether Kyron was kidnapped or just wandered
off, but they're describing him as a "missing endangered child."Visitors
to the school are assigned badges, but Portland Public School District
spokesman Matt Shelby said it would have been difficult to assign a
badge to each visitor among the friends and family members who attended
the science fair Friday morning.Authorities were reviewing photos
and videos taken at the fair. The last photo of Kyron shows him smiling
in front of his project on the red-eyed tree frog.It was unclear
whether Kyron was in class Friday or when anyone noticed he was missing
because police have been reluctant to disclose public details of the
search.

welcome to the blog
LE has not released much information at this point - our experience with missing person cases is usually they do everything possible to eliminate the family first - so i believe at this point they have done that with her cooperation (hence no search warrant issued for the vehicle or home) and am sure they have created a timeline for her day - so far, we know she says she walked away from him at school at 8:45am - and then had some "errands" to run (no information released on those errands) and we also know she was posting pictures and playing games on facebook - based on the updates to her fb page. the next thing we know is that they went to meet him at the bus (news accounts say both parents) and he wasn't on it - they called the school, they may have called the non-emergency sheriff's line, and then a call was made to 911. I think LE arrived around 5pm based on news stories I have read, and they began the search.
At this point, one of 3 things could have happened:
wandered into the woods and is lost -
kidnapped at school and taken somewhere -
family took him and is hiding him or worse -
All JMHO and gleaned from news sources
