The murder trial for Casey Anthony is scheduled to resume today at 8:30 am ET. It is expected that Cindy will continue her testimony from Saturday which ended with the State questioning the grandmother of Caylee Marie Anthony about the lies told to her by her daughter during the “31 day” period in which Caylee’s death was unreported by her egg-donor.
Cindy Anthony’s testimony last Saturday was frequently emotional as she was shown pictures of her dead granddaughter and the child’s belongings at the Anthony home. The cross-examination of Cindy is greatly anticipated, not only out of curiosity of what will be asked of her by Casey’s defense attorney (and which attorney that will be), but also to witness how Cindy will answer those questions and with what attitude.
Cindy has been a fierce defender (to the point of appearing to obstruct justice) of her daughter until recently, but when she took the stand as a State’s witness last Saturday it was clear that she was cooperating. However, the more difficult questions and the resultant answers from Cindy on the stand have not been broached by the State yet, so just how honest Cindy will be can’t be measured at this time.
