Caylee Anthony case: Trial day 7 – 06/01/11
Posted on June 1, 2011 by Valhall

Excerpt:

Yesterday began with Mr. Mark Lippman arguing a motion for Lee Anthony in which Lee is requesting an exemption for the sequestration rule for witnesses based on him being “next of kin” to Caylee Anthony. Mr. Lippman successfully argued this motion, citing appropriate case law, and Judge Perry granted Lee an exception; allowing him to sit in the court room through-out the trial, if he so chooses.

This was immediately followed with a ruling by Judge Perry, after reviewing the grand jury testimony of George Anthony, that George Anthony’s testimony at the grand jury did not have significant devations from the testimony he has rendered to date in the trial that would be helpful to the defense and therefore Judge Perry denied their request to get a copy of that portion of the grand jury transcript.
