WW Week: Kyron Horman Update:
Facebook Follower Claims Man in Photo Identified
Two days ago, we reported that an alert reader had
found the image of a man in the background of a photo taken by the
stepmom of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman. Investigators are seeking
information from anyone who saw stepmom Terri Moulton Horman at the
school that day, as the man in the photo very well may have.
Now, a commenter on a Facebook page devoted to theOthers have seen Kyron Horman:

identified the man in the photo as a parent at Skyline Elementary
School. It’s unclear, however, whether he’s been interviewed. The
sheriff’s office has declined to comment on the photo and whether
they’ve used it as part of their investigation.

pictures of the boy he saw and the license plate number of the car that

Mary Jean Kelso of Fernley, Nev., saw a boy she thought might be

Capt. Jason Gates said Wednesday that Kyron’sCan it be prevented – whatever it was?
disappearance is the biggest investigation Multnomah County has ever
handled and they’re working through the tips, but are focused on leads
close-to-home and aren’t always calling back people with duplicate
information.
“We have detectives going through each and every tip that goes
in,” Gates said. “Quite frankly, some of those tips are worthless, but
it’s a process of what are viable to follow up on and what aren’t.”
Emmilie Caterham, a resident of Portland, Oregon hashttp://www.anorak.co.uk/251964/media/kyron-horman-the-questionnaire-the-sightings-and-the-finger-pointing.html
started an online petition to require that all schools in America have
security cameras. Ms. Caterham will also soon set up a donation fund to
help raise revenue to help pay for the security camera systems.

Sheriff's Office knows 'mystery man' in photo
Last Update: 9:25 pm
Sheriff's know 'mystery man'
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Multnomah County Sheriff’s office said it knows who the mysterious man is in the background of the picture of Kyron Horman standing in front of his Tree Frog display.
He has been interviewed but is not a person of interest in the case.
His name will not be released and the Sheriff’s office will not say if he is a parent or teacher.
The picture and that man in the back of room became a hot topic of conversation after Portland Mayor Sam Adams sent out this alert to the public asking for help in identifying the man:

desiree and kaine were on the today show this morning - i thought the whole thing was very stilted and odd - especially kaines' answers about why they weren't searching and the questions about terri's potential involvement - no denial of the two polygraphs either

Re: KYRON HORMAN - 7 yo - Portland OR
they removed that statement from the article so now we don't know for sure if zimmerman saw th at all - i can't believe the censorship that has gone on in this case - i am going to check and see if that girl's comment about the body being found has been removed from the people magazine story.Mitestarossa wrote:As as I know the only adult confirmation of Terri and Kyron is at 8:15am by Gina Zimmerman the president of the PTA. 8:15 is early, so may be there wasn't very many people around yet.
May be Terri left earlier than 8:45am.
regarding the picture - i do believe it was the classroom, there is another pic a reporter took of the project sitting on the floor and i believe the caption indicated it was in the classroom - so the question is when was it taken? it had to be thursday or friday morning and IMO, if it was Friday - it had to be early - since there weren't a lot of parents walking around - we know the police were told he was wearing the CSI shirt shown in the pic, so we would conclude that he either wore the shirt on thurs for the photo to be taken and then he wore it again to school on friday - or he just wore it friday.
i find it odd that th wasn't on the today show this morning - for the son she has raised since birth - and that she also isn't speaking to reporters.

Does anyone happen to know if there is a "rebound" effect after discontinuing steroids?
I wonder if that would explain the rapid deterioration of Terri's "physique"?

i believe that once you stop taking them, the effects "wear off" and your body has now been damaged by them, so i think it makes sense that the muscle "jelled" a bit - i know in my own experience - NOT steriods - just from working out - my muscles firmed up and tightened fairly quickly with weight work, and then when i took a break - within two weeks it was all gone - my muscles just got mushy and flabby. and she is 40 and i think for women, it happens pretty quickly as you age if you don't have some type of exercise routine - i haven't seen a good pic of her lately - just the one from the press conference.Admin wrote:Does anyone happen to know if there is a "rebound" effect after discontinuing steroids?

Ovi, I liked InMyFloridaOpinion's summation of this case yesterday:
"This is driving me bonkers. I think we can add 2+2 and figure out
what happened. They are being too, too quiet about everything. You'd
think they would throw out a bone for us to chew on. All we hear is
tiny bits of info which mysteriously disappear and contradictions. She
was here, no she wasn't? Someone saw her, no they didn't? It was
this time, no it wasn't? He walked away with her, then again maybe not?
A child saw him, not the right day? There was a substitute, no
there wasn't? He was present, but at the doctors appointment? He's in
the bathroom, but gone? Informed teacher of appointment, she was hard
of hearing? His back pack was on his desk, no it wasn't? It's someone
close, not the family? Family is innocent, but let's focus on the SM?
Family is cooperating, what about the SM? She had a poly and let's
do another? Close family that got along, or no? Weird reports of
vehicles where they shouldn't be? One was towed for repairs, or
secretly for LE? One car, maybe two? An island thrown in for pings,
but she wasn't there, she was off on errands, or was she? Yes she was,
no she wasn't? She's a tanned body-builder and a pale red-head?
Missing child, lets go exercise!? Let's search, no untrained
searchers? No media wanted near their car, but lets have a press
conference? An uncle sex offender, not involved, but we *are*
investigating it? These glasses are an exact replica, or were they
found? Body found, no it wasn't? We want the public involved, lets
not give out much info? If we interviewed you, please fill out a form?
WTH! I'm getting whip-lash, FCITC! "

Again, I don't know if this is true or not...if it is a hoax, it is a very sick one:

It was rather odd that there were several departments warrants, records,

so called finding of Kyron. The Sheriff's Office even cleared a cell
for the major suspect at the Justice Center. There was more involvement
then just a few Deputies talking about this case. My apologies for
putting the information out that had several different agencies saying

Deliverance??? Something is fishy with this case and I'm wondering just who has the connections to keep things under the rug so to say. Sounds to me like this town needs to be "cleaned" out, looking more crooked every day.

He needs spell check! It's pretty dang sad when a child vanishes from the face of the earth and LE is more worried about sweeping it under the rug. This town is freaky. Personally, I think they have found the body.

what the news stations are saying Kyron's body was found days ago. My
friend's friend is on the dive team that found him :( He was at Sauvie's
Island. The news reported that he had been found then quickly took the
story off the net and claimed it was false. I think they got in trouble
for releasing information too soon because it could jeprodize the
investigation. The chances of a missing child being found alive after 48
hours is slim so I expected this outcome but it has made it no easier
to accept. I have seen slide shows with his picture and it makes me want
to cry, he looks like such a sweet kid. :*( ♥ RIP Kyron ♥

What in the world? I've never heard of such a thing...if they truly did find his body.
Isn't the FBI involved in this case? I can buy a cover-up in the town, but I find it really difficult to believe the FBI would help. Maybe there is more going on here than meets the eye.

so now we know, kaine went to work on june 4, he did see kyron at the home, feeding the cat - according to the cbs early show interview this morning - loosely transcribed -
"When I saw him that morning, I was on my way to
work and he and I talked out in our front yard. He was out feeding our
cat, heading back inside and just gave each other a big hug, told him to
have a great day at the science fair with his project, that I was proud
of him for all the effort and just the amazing project that he had put
together and to to just have a wonderful day."

==========================
so either kaine is telling the truth or he is lying to protect terri - if he is telling the truth and the rumors about her car on sauvie island are true, then who was in the car with her and who was driving the other vehicle - not kaine. hmmmmm

Missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman would never walk away from school, mom says
Published: Friday, June 25, 2010, 5:30 AM Updated: Friday, June 25, 2010, 7:10 AM
Missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman would never walk away on his own from school, his mother said today.
Desiree Young described her shy son as someone who likes to stick close to home. He's timid and can't see very well, she said.
"He's afraid of not having his glasses on and not being able to see very far in front of him," Young said.
"He always stays very close to his house in the front because he's afraid of not being able to find his house," she said.
Young made the comments this morning as she and her ex-husband, Kaine Horman, Kyron's father, did a round of interviews with network TV shows to keep the boy's plight before the public.
They didn't say what they think might have happened to Kyron.
"Honestly, I am a little scared at this point," Young said. "Three weeks is a long time. We need to bring him home."
It was the third public appearance by the two since the second-grader was last seen June 4 at his rural Portland school.
Although they — along with Kyron’s stepfather, Tony Young, and stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman — have attended two news conferences and answered some questions from reporters via e-mail, this marked the first time they agreed to interviews.
Satellite trucks, TV cameras and reporters gathered this morning at the small church across from Skyline School, where Kyron was last seen about 8:45 a.m. three weeks ago today. The church has been the gathering point for investigators and searchers since the boy's disappearance.
After attending a school science fair with his stepmother — where he showed off his project on the red-eyed tree frog — Kyron walked down the hall toward his classroom, his stepmother said. Terri Horman called school officials when Kyron didn’t get off the bus that afternoon.
Investigators are working through about 2,800 tips, and "throwing every resource" at finding their boy, the parents said.
The entire family is working with investigators, Kaine Horman said, including Terri Horman.
"She's cooperating with investigators as passionately as are we," Horman said.
Neither stepparent attended the interviews. Kaine Horman said that he and Young wanted to go before the cameras together as Kyron's natural parents.
Within hours after Kyron's disappearance, multiple agencies were involved in the search for the bespectacled boy. Days later, the search — which focused on the countryside surrounding the school in northwest Multnomah County and on nearby Sauvie Island — became one of the largest in the state.
More than 1,300 searchers from across Oregon, Washington and Northern California joined in, as well as 213 investigators from 42 different law enforcement agencies, including the FBI.
The Multnomah County sheriff’s office has since called off the search, and the case is now considered a criminal investigation, though investigators have said they have no suspects.
Kyron's family has stayed out of the media to try to keep the attention on finding Kyron, the parents said, but they hope that home videos and additional photos they released this week will help produce more information.
"Maybe that will help that one tip, that one person come forward and bring him home," Young said.
The parents said they're trying to stay positive during the investigation.
"Focusing on the hope every day is what gets me through," Young said.
"If you start to let your mind stray to those areas, the hope begins to wane a little bit," Kaine Horman said. "And we can't afford that."

Re: KYRON HORMAN - 7 yo - Portland OR
After watching the interviews (Thank you OVI!) the first thing that strikes me is the lack of emotion. And they seem to be holding back on something. And evading.
My question is...why would the bio mom be protective of Terri? It doesn't make sense. I don't think the bio mom knows anything, or the police have told her to just go with the flow, until Terri cracks. Sort of like "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer."
