Tammers and Mercy...That was very early on, as I recall... Perhaps the first week....Mercy wrote:Is this about the white truck and red mustang racing near Sauvie Island? This is what I recall.
Also, Here is a working link FYI (the other above was not opening), for the "cousin" (supposedly of DD)... Very strange posts, but some apparently are locals and have their own opinions of what is going on:

wow. If this was from early on, and he was describing a heavy set read head(dede im assuming) and the time??! (around the time dede would have taken off from the gardening) This has to be either just a really crazy coinsidence or he did infact see what was happening to poor Kyron. Poor baby. I hate to say but at this point to don't believe he is stashed somewhere and my heart hurts knowing that someone could do this to such a sweet innocent child. Thank you for the invite. I shall have to check out the main blog sometimes. I am not on too much I just come on to check updates and whatnot. I really admire the dedication and time put into this site by so many of youhawaiicalls wrote:Tammers and Mercy...That was very early on, as I recall... When the secondary search group (unofficial which was never given a scent item) found a sock in water in the place where his dogs hit on, what was ever done with the sock? Was it ever determined to be the same brand or size as Kyron's? Also, if they think the child is in the water with lots of debris, why not call Tim Miller with his side-scan sonar boat? If it's not Kyron, it could be someone else.

we never heard anything else about the sock and i don't know why tim hasn't been called, unless it is because they truly believe he is alive and since they have no evidence to prove otherwise, it wouldn't be necessary?inmyfloridaopinion wrote:When the secondary search group (unofficial which was never given a scent item) found a sock in water in the place where his dogs hit on, what was ever done with the sock? Kyron Horman Now Missing For 2 Months
KPTV
POSTED: 3:34 pm PDT August 4, 2010
UPDATED: 4:17 pm PDT August 4, 2010
Gates made it clear Wednesday that investigators were not backing down.
"This investigation is progressing," he said. "It's productive and there's been no discussion of this leading to a cold case at all."
Deputies have said they're receiving tips in the case on an hourly basis. Some of them have been dismissed right away, while others have been checked out.
Gates would not comment specifically about Terri Horman, DeDe Spicher or why there has not been an arrest, but he asked the community to remain patient.
"I totally understand the community's frustration," he said. "On a personal level, I'm frustrated too. We all want to make an arrest. We all want to solve this case, find Kyron and bring him home."

Disgusting, IMO....
Multnomah County deputies are looking into possible vandalism at the Wall of Hope at Skyline School, where missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman vanished on June 4.
It appeared someone tried to rip down a handmade, laminated banner with the message "Helping Hands for Kyron." The banner came from a Kindercare Center and was originally held up by 14 plastic binder ties.
The Wall of Hope is a display of flowers, supportive messages and other items placed there for Kyron.
Other people who were visiting the Wall of Hope said they were upset about a message someone wrote on a sign. The message read, "I love you daddy. You will see me in another time and place where 'I' Kyron (Special K) is no longer in pain, where 'she' can no longer hurt me. Dad I am safe. I love you pop."
http://www.kptv.com/news/24513410/detail.html
Now, there are sites searching for Special K posts...which I find just strange, as there are apparently posts from a Special K person...This is getting ridiculous! JMO...Sure hope LE is getting to the bottom of this case...Where is this child?????

Special K is also a street slang name for ketamine.
Ketamine has a wide range of effects in humans, including analgesia, anesthesia, hallucinations, elevated blood pressure, and bronchodilation.[6] Ketamine is primarily used for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia, usually in combination with some sedative drug. Other uses include sedation in intensive care, analgesia (particularly in emergency medicine), and treatment of bronchospasm. It is also a popular anesthetic in veterinary medicine.

The person who did this is either just really sick. OR they were trying to get something across?? I dont think just any joe shmoe would just decide to write on there. I would like to maybe see one of those statement analysis' on it. Notice where is says I Kyron (special K) IS no longer in pain, NOT I Kyron (special K) AM no longer in pain? That to me sounds like it was written by someone who is implying they know Kyron is no longer in pain. Almost like a clue? Im sorry I could just be going crazy. This whole case has me kookoo

Tammers, it's another mind bogging case, indeed....IMO, there is but one "key" to this entire story....and it lies within TH....IMO...At the very least, we are in very good company, as we go "kookoo".... FGS, this convoluted mish-mash of "extra carricular activities" is weighing on all those who have never met Kyron, or his family...Yet, we persevere, try to find an answer, hope & pray that LE is doing their job... (IMO, I have certain doubts...It's been too long...not that he's "missing", just too long that LE has not stated what the heck is the status of KYRON, and their potential "POI"(or "persons".... ) God bless LE, FBI, all those encompassed with the task of finding this child, and holding those responsible accountable for their actions, or lack thereof.... (trying to pray, while pissed...FYI... )tammers1212 wrote:hawaiicalls wrote:Disgusting, IMO....

Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Kyron Case Update - 08/02/10
The search for Kyron enters 9th week. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office continues to follow up on the numerous leads that have been generated from tips we have received.
The reward for information regarding Kyron has been increased to $50,000, due to an anonymous donation. This has spurred an increase in tips. The number of tips had reach over 3500. We have been averaging between 5 to 10 tips every hour. Many of these tips are eliminated quickly while others result in follow-up of multiple leads.
Investigations, such as this one, require all investigative agencies to conduct portions of the investigations in a manner that cannot be released to the public. Multnomah County Sheriff Office respects the public's awareness that certain portions of this investigation cannot be released. As stated numerous times we are working with due diligence in partnership with the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office and the family to bring Kyron home. We have no new investigative information available for release at this time.
MCSO continues to follow up on leads as they are called in. Any tips can be called into the tip line at 503-261-2847.

Friend of Terri Horman used fake name to buy cell phone
By Anna Song KATU News and KATU.com Staff
Story Published: Aug 6, 2010 at 4:53 PM PDT
Story Updated: Aug 6, 2010 at 6:12 PM PDT
PORTLAND, Ore. - Friends of Terri Horman purchased cell phones to communicate with her after Kyron Horman disappeared two months ago, one of whom did so using a fake name, according to multiple sources on Friday.
The phones were purchased after Kyron's father, Kaine Horman, moved out of the family's home.
The friend, who is not DeDe Spicher, went to the Lloyd Center and bought a prepaid cell phone at an electronic store. The friend now says she regrets using a fake name and that it was “stupid” and “spur of the moment”.She said the phone she bought was for herself to use and not for Terri Horman.
She insists the three of them, DeDe, Terri and her, only got the phones because they needed AT&T service which allowed them to make calls out of the Horman home at Shelter Nook Road, which is in a remote area and doesn’t service Verizon phones which is what they had.
They also wanted some level of privacy with their conversations which they felt were being monitored by law enforcement, and they wanted to use phones with numbers not known to the press.
She insists she’s not guilty of anything besides trying to be supportive of her friend, Terri. But she said as she has cooperated with investigators she has withdrawn her support. She said she has turned over cell phone records, her business line and all relevant e-mails to investigators that could help them in the case.
It has also been confirmed that at least one of the phones was purchased by DeDe Spicher. But what remaines unclear is why two additional prepaid phones were purchased at another store in downtown Portland the next day under the same fake name used at the Lloyd Center. The friend said she knows those phones were paid for in cash but she did not make the purchase.
Meanwhile, witnesses continued to file into the Multnomah County Courthouse on Friday for the fifth day to testify before a grand jury regarding the Kyron Horman case.
Testimony was taken from another close friend of Terri Horman who was often at the Horman home supporting her after the June 4 disappearance of Kyron.
She spent about 2 ½ hours with jurors and a prosecutor on the case. She is one of at least three friends of Terri Horman who had her house searched and who underwent polygraph testing with investigators about Kyron.
Ben Keefer, the principal of Kyron’s elementary school (Skyline School) also appeared before the grand jury on Friday. He could hold potentially valuable information since it was at his school that Kyron was last seen touring classrooms with his stepmother, Terri Horman, during the science fair.
Investigators have not named any suspects or persons of interest in this case and have not made any arrests.

Families of Kyron Horman lookalikes deal with mistaken identity

Noelle Crombie, The Oregonian
Excerpt:
Talin Jacobs has a wide, toothy grin. His brown hair is cut short. He's on the small side for his age.
And here's something else his mom, Tarin Elliott, wants you to know about her 9-year-old boy: He is not Kyron Horman.
Since Kyron went missing June 4, Elliott's family has been approached repeatedly by well-meaning strangers who've mistaken Talin for Kyron.
The Vancouver family has been trailed in stores by shoppers and questioned by security guards. Strangers stare at Talin. Once, someone jotted down the license plate on the family car and reported it to authorities.
Last week, in a Vancouver grocery store, a couple of women stopped cold and, in hushed tones, wondered whether Talin was the missing Skyline School second-grader. They studied Talin's face long enough to make the boy uncomfortable, his mom said.
"It's not Kyron," Elliott told the women, who hastily apologized for any trouble they'd caused.
And Talin isn't the only area boy to be confused with Kyron. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office has had four reports of children who resemble the missing boy, including one last week involving a woman and a boy spotted boarding a MAX train bound for Portland International Airport.

Investigators search east of Skyline school

Investigators search east of Skyline school
PORTLAND -- Searchers in the Kyron Horman investigation were working east of Skyline Elementary Saturday, acting on information developed from Dede Spicher, reliable sources told KGW.
Investigators not only worked on information from her, they were also pursuing tips developed while looking into her relationship with Terri, sources said.
Spicher is a longtime friend of the Hormans. Her Tualatin condo has been searched as part of the investigation. She was gardening near the Horman home on the day Kyron vanished and can't account for a portion of the day, sources said.
Dede has continued to be more cooperative than when Kyron’s parents released a statement imploring her to cooperate with the probe but investigators continue to believe she still has not told everything she knows.
Last week KGW first reported that Dede helped get cell phones hoping to allow Terri to avoid detection.
Saturday’s search comes at the end of a long week for investigators and the grand jury.
This week the grand jury heard from the principal of Skyline along with several friends of Terri’s who, sources including people who have spoken with investigators told KGW, helped prosecutors establish a timeline of who did what on June 4th, the day Kyron disappeared.
Overall, the grand jury has heard from more than a dozen witnesses and issued hundreds of subpoenas.
On Saturday, friends and supporters of Kyron came to his Wall of Hope at Skyline school for a dramatic release of balloons, their hopes and prayers coming together with tears as the balloons went skyward.

Intensive Search for Kyron
Last Update: 8/07 11:16 pm
Search and rescue teams undertake the most intense search for the Kyron Horman we've seen in weeks as investigators scour parts of Washington County.
It's unclear whether search crews were out as a result of information brought forth in recent grand jury hearings, but a retired Portland Police Bureau detective commander says crews wouldn't be back searching the area without cause.
"I don't think they're checking without any background to it, they're checking for a reason," said Cliff Madison.
A retired commander with the Detective Division of PPB, Madison says there's something that tells investigators to take a second or third look today as they mount up for the largest recent search effort since Kyron first vanished.
Whether or not it's information gleaned from the grand jury hearings is unclear but Madison says it's not coming from thin air.
"I think there'll be information that they (detectives) either need to recheck or confirm. I think they're in the position that something tells them the better go back out and check again," he said.
Those living in the area were caught by surprise at today's efforts, so much so that it created a lot of confusion, including a large police response to an unconnected 911 call.
Madison says situations like that, tips that may go somewhere but only lead to dead ends can only add to the toll it's taking on investigators.
"They've got to be at a point where they're a little bit frustrated because they have a certain amount of evidence and finalize that into an area where they can finally make an arrest," said Madison.
There's no telling if the grand jury has enough credible evidence to make an arrest and Madison says there may be enough dots to connect the evidence to, but for now it still appears tips are still leading to plenty of dead ends.
"(As a detective) you're working hard, you have a certain amount of evidence that you're using and you're trying to get somewhere with it and you may have something that tells you where it should go but you need to have something put you in the position to show that and to prove it," he said.
Detectives could not tell us today what tips led them to research the area, or if anything was found.
Credible sources tell search crews will be back out canvassing the area again tomorrow.
