It has been gone since yesterday. The last time (early AM yesterday) I was on I logged out because I had noticed they were copying the same posts over an over again, only a new post here and there. Then went to SM and noticed the posts of JR had been posted there and the final posts were about JR physically looking for Kyron. Too much he said, she said for me personally. I would rather be here.
Sorry mom_in_il, I think many are looking for the thread.

Searchers return to hunt for Kyron over weekend
Published: Sunday, August 08, 2010, 1:12 PM
Updated: Sunday, August 08, 2010, 1:36 PM
Molly Hottle, The Oregonian
Multnomah County Sheriff's spokeswoman Lt. Mary Lindstrand confirmed that searchers are back on the hunt for missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman.
Officials searched yesterday and today, but Lindstrand would not say where they are looking and what led them spend the weekend searching for him.
"They're following up on leads and tips," Lindstrand said.
The renewed search comes in the wake of last week's testimony from several friends of Terri Moulton Horman and Kyron's parents, Kaine Horman and Desiree Young before the grand jury.
Testimony is expected to last at least through the coming week.
Kyron was last seen June 4 at Skyline School. Kyron's stepmom Terri Moulton Horman brought him to school for the science fair that morning, and told authorities she last saw him walking to his classroom about 8:45 a.m. He was reported missing later that day.

I had followed SM also. I also just a few ago posted on the Main Blog. I had a sense LE was going to be on the thread of GLP quick.
If De De goes in front of the GJ again and she answers questions, will she not be granted ammunity? Or can this info she has recently given be held against her?? Can anyone answer this?

This case has me so uptight and so damn angry...I think maybe because Kyron resembles my son at that age...I am just so pissed that one stupid bitch can keep this child from his parents. I truly believe TH loves herself so freaking much that she could harm a child to get the spotlight on her. If I had enough people to join me, I would fly to Oregon and stand in the street in front of her residence and annoy the hell out of her. I would love to have 5 min. with this bitch...She may think she is something because she was a body builder, although it is hard to tell that now by looking at her fat ass, but the anger I have inside of me right now against her would go way beyond any body building she has ever had. I just had to get that out and knew you all would understand. This case has just really gotten to me...I don't know if its because I spoke with the FBI or what but I want that little boy home to Desiree NOW!!!

PORTLAND, Ore. - We caught sight of searchers out for a second day along two roads near Skyline Boulevard.
Search teams spent all day Sunday combing areas off Northwest Germantown Road. The terrain there is difficult, and it gets even steeper and brushier the farther west you go.
This weekend, however, sources have told KATU News that the searchers are following tips based on information from Dede Spicher, a friend of Kyron's stepmother Terri Horman.
"All they did is they came to the door and said they were with search and rescue this morning and wanted permission to go on our land to check the streams," said
neighborhood resident Judith Emerson.
Some crews were using search dogs to go through forested areas along Germantown Road.
There is no indication yet whether the searches found anything significant that might be tied to Kyron's disappearance

I'm having a hard time believing these friends of TH's. Anyone that would think more of an adult than a defenseless child does not make sense in my heart or mind. Why is this tip coming out now? Why 2 weeks after GJ? Why is DeDe trying to do the so called, "right thing" now? And the lame excuses for the cell phones, how old are these women? There is something so wrong with this picture.
I am very skeptical anyone would go into a thicket of briers and risk scratching themselves for the public to see in order to hide an individual. I pray LE is not being sent off on some wild goose hunt.
Kyron, God is with you, He will uphold you with His right arm and bless you.
God bless,
Mercy

Kyron Horman case: Did DeDe Spicher’s info renew ground search?
Posted on August 9th, 2010 by Valhall
Excerpt:
FOX 12 (KPTV) out of Portland is reporting they have confirmed that a tip DeDe Spicher provided to law enforcement has search crews back in the area near Skyline Elementary. The report states search crews have been spotted in a field off Cornelius Pass road about 1 mile from the school as well as in a field off Cornell Road. While MCSO has confirmed to The Oregonian that the new searches are to follow up on tips, they have not confirmed who provided the information. However, the searches are coming at the end of a week in which several friends of Terri Horman were reported to have testified before the Grand Jury. Inaddition, the latest reports state that DeDe Spicher has become more cooperative with law enforcement. KOIN Local 6 reports the searches over the past weekend have been the largest witnessed in many weeks.

It's been a busy week at the Multnomah County courthouse as key players in
the Kyron Horman investigation appeared before a grand jury.
Friday it was Skyline School principal Ben Keefer who arrived just after 2
p.m. to appear. He left by 4:10 p.m. and told reporters he had "no
comment."
Keefer was on hand at one of the press conferences
early on in the investigation into the disappearance of the missing
7-year-old boy.
He read a statement from Kyron's teacher Christine Porter
in early June.
"The students in Kyron's class miss him terribly and we
are all wishing for his safe return," she wrote. "We look forward to
Kyron returning to us soon."

Search crews near Skyline School expected to return Monday
Investigators were expected to continue their suddenly resumed-search Monday for Oregon 7-year-old Kyron Horman.
He vanished June 4 after attending a science fair at Skyline Elementary School, in the Portland area. It led to what was called at the time the biggest search in state history.
Over the weekend dozens of probers from several agencies scoured an area two miles from the school, in a massive ground search.
They were expected to return Monday.
Included in the search: property where Dede Spicher was working June 4. She is a close friend of Terri Horman, Kyron's stepmother, who's thought to be the last person to have seen him alive.
According to reports, it was a tip from Spicher that may have sparked this latest search, which follows Spicher's grand jury testimony, as well as that of other close friends of Terri Horman's. Kyron's parents and grade school principal also appeared in court last week. The grand jury is expected to hear from more witnesses this week.
Spicher is said to have helped Terri Horman buy an untraceable cell phone, and moved in with her for weeks.
"They're both presumed innocent," points out CBS News legal analyst Lisa Bloom . "Nevertheless, they both engaged in suspicious behavior that's making police look very closely at the both of them."
"It looks like Dede's opening up," attorney Bruce McCain, a former captain of the Multnomah County, Oregon Sheriff's Dept., told "Early Show" co-anchor Monday. " ... This is not a search-and-rescue. This is a forensic search for criminal evidence, more than likely, something very specific that Dede told them about. It could even very well be one of these untraceable cell phones."
Terri Horman hasn't been named a suspect in the case, but Kyron's parents believe she is involved in their son's disappearance.
Kyron's father, Kaine Horman, says he's living with the burden of guilt over having brought Terri into Kyron's life, saying, "It's my job to protect him... and someone ... got him on my watch."
Saturday, hundreds of people gathered at Kyron's school, releasing balloons with messages of hope that the lost boy might soon be found.

Kyron Horman Most Recent August Update
August Update News on Kyron Horman Includes Grand Jury Investigation Details
Law enforcement continues to remain tight-lipped about any potential evidence found or being sought at the search sites over the weekend and on Monday, Aug. 9th, as is expected that they would. However, discussions about Terri's communication efforts--via untraceable cell phones--since Kyron's disappearance, has been leaked to the general public.
The fact that Terri Horman, DeDe Spicher and Chelsea Aleshire all communicated on the day Kyron went missing continues to be a focus of the grand jury's investigation, and it is believed to have prompted the recent searches resumed this past weekend.
Where the Case Goes From Here
While the grand jury in Multnomah County could continue their investigation months longer, it is unlikely that they will need to do so given the recent witness disclosures being made in the case. With law enforcement starting to resume their searches, it is obvious that witnesses are talking, which is moving the case forward. The grand jury is scheduled to continue hearing from witnesses this week and could issue a True Bill as early as Friday, Aug. 13th.
In the end, the grand jury just needs five of the seven people on it to issue a True Bill to support the district attorney in an indictment. The DA doesn't necessarily need the True Bill to move forward in the case, but it is a way to ensure his evidence is going to withstand a court proceeding and get him the guiltyverdict he will seek.
Terri Horman, although not officially named as a suspect, is anticipated to inevitably be the person arrested in Kyron's disappearance, according to Bruce McCain in a recent CBS News report. Both Kyron's parents Kaine and Desiree have voiced their belief of Terri's involvement--as well as that of an accomplice--in their son Kyron's disappearance. Seven-year-old Kyron Horman was last seen in Terri Horman's presence in early June, when she claims she left him at 8:45 a.m. at his school Skyline Elementary after a science fair exhibition.

Police Bump Up Search for Kyron Horman

Just got off the phone with Multnomah Sheriff’s Department and
they confirmed a “tip” led them to bump up the search again for
7-year-old Kyron Horman. Kinda knew that but, wanted to see if they
would comment about reports that the “tip” came from family friend, DeDe
Spicher. They wouldn’t tell me if that’s true. But, Spicher told a
Grand Jury on Friday that she, another girlfriend and Kyron’s stepmom,
Terri Horman, each bought an untraceable cell phone the day the little
boy vanished. The cops wouldn’t tell me if they’re looking for those
phones in the big renewed search. This case is intense. Where is that
child?!

This comes at the same time that a Multnomah County grand jury continues
to meet, with a 9-year-old classmate of Kyron's being the latest to
appear. The mother of the boy said she was not allowed inside and did
not ask him about the secret proceeding. Her son and Kyron were

Kyron Horman investigators and searchers comb through rural area for clues
Published: Monday, August 09, 2010, 8:18 AM
Updated: Monday, August 09, 2010, 11:36 AM
Searchers and investigators resumed their ground search for Kyron Horman over the weekend, this time focusing on the 2.2 mile Old Germantown Road loop - not far from the home where DeDe Spicher, one of Terri Moulton Horman's friends - was gardening the day Kyron went missing.
Searchers were looking more deeply through the area, while investigators were canvassing and questioning residents along the stretch to see if they recalled seeing a white truck or anything unusual on June 4, the day Kyron disappeared.
Officers from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office showed Old Germantown Road resident James Emerson a sheaf of papers with photographs of Spicher, Terri Horman, and the white Ford pick-up truck Horman was driving that day.
"We had not seen either of those people or that vehicle," Emerson told police.
Emerson said he gave searchers permission to search his 6 acre property. Like other nearby properties, Emerson's is thick with vegetation, narrow deer and elk tracks, and rugged terrain.
"This time of year, it's almost impossible to get through because it's so thick," Emerson said. "And in June, after all those rains, it would have been mushy and difficult to get through, too.
"Investigators are still trying to determine both Terri Horman's and Spicher's whereabouts during an overlapping period of the day the boy vanished during a science fair at Skyline School.
Spicher abruptly disappeared from her gardening work that day, from about 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., according to information her employer and another person working at the home told investigators.
Searchers and canvassers were out this weekend, and are expected back during the week.

2nd person seen in truck while Terri at Kyron's school

PORTLAND, Ore. -- KGW has learned that investigators are trying to determine the identity of a person who was seen sitting in the truck Terri Horman was driving the day Kyron Horman disappeared.
According to several sources in the Skyline community, including people who have spoken with investigators, the person was seen by at least two witnesses while Terri was in the school with Kyron.
Investigators have gone through Terri's cell phone and email records trying to establish who the person was.
“It's really significant if someone else was in there---and people are indicating it wasn't a child,” said C.W. Jensen, a former Portland Police Homicide Detective.
While Terri Horman has not been charged or even officially identified as a person of interest in the case, investigators have clearly focused attention on her, even telling Kaine Horman and others that they had probable cause to believe that she was responsible for Kyron's disappearance.
Investigators have also been focusing on the activities of Terri's friend, Dede Spicher the day that Kyron disappeared. On Sunday, KGW reported that investigators have been searching the property where Spicher was gardening on June 4. More: Home where DeDe gardened searched
Also, KGW has learned that at least three friends of Terri's, including DeDe Spicher, bought prepaid cell phones in the days following Kyron's disappearance, some using fake names. More: Friends faked names, bought pre-paid phones
According to these sources in the community, including people who have spoken with investigators, it is not known if Spicher was the one seen in the truck.

Acquaintance: Terri Horman upset before Kyron vanished
PORTLAND, Ore. - An acquaintance of Terri Horman, who asked to remain anonymous, said Monday Terri was very upset in the weeks before Kyron vanished because she said her husband, Kaine, was making her teenage son move out of the couple’s Portland home.
According to the acquaintance, Terri Horman came to a 24-Hour Fitness a month to two months before Kyron disappeared and said Terri was furious, and kept complaining to anyone who would listen, that Kaine was allegedly making her teenage son move out.
Terri’s son did move out of the home in March.
Friends, who worked out with Terri Horman at that 24-Hour Fitness, testified before a grand jury Monday.
According to sources, the friends were not extremely close to Terri but they were close enough that Terri often confided in them with issues from her home.
Three grand jury witnesses declined to speak with reporters outside the Multnomah County Courthouse Monday. But all three, according to sources, are members of that 24-Hour Fitness.
Meanwhile, more searches near Skyline School where Kyron disappeared on June 4, were conducted over the weekend.
The three sites that were searched all have connections to another friend of Terri Horman, DeDe Spicher, according to sources.
Lawyer and former Multnomah County sheriff’s captain, Bruce McCain, said the searchers could very well be looking for one of at least three cell phones friends purchased for Terri Horman under fictitious names.
“They’re looking for physical evidence,” McCain said. “Either something physically associated with Kyron himself, any kind of tools or implements that may have been involved in his disappearance - criminally, and also possibly a discarded cell phone that they’d like to retrieve and gather all the data from that,” McCain said.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the searches over the weekend were tied to the Kyron Horman case but it would not say what searchers were looking for.
Also, sources at the courthouse will not confirm the alleged rift between Terri Horman and Kaine or whether that is a possible motive.
No one in this case, including Terri Horman, has been named a suspect or person of interest. Police have not made any arrests.
In a press release Monday afternoon, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said it plans to hold a news conference on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. to release details in the case in an effort to get the public’s help in the case. KATU.com plans to stream it live

Deputies Plan To Release Details In Kyron Case
PORTLAND, Ore. -- The lead agency investigating the disappearance of Kyron Horman said it will release details in an effort to gather more information from the public.
Multnomah County spokeswoman Lt. Mary Lindstrand said the sheriff's office will hold a news conference at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brookshill Historical Church in northwest Portland.
"Captain (Jason) Gates, as well as a member of the investigative team, will be present to provide information on the case to solicit the public's help and answer questions," deputies said. "No details will be released prior to the press conference on Wednesday."
Over the weekend, crews set up a base near Kyron's school and searched fields along Cornell Road. FOX 12 confirmed that a tip from DeDe Spicher -- a friend of Kyron's stepmother Terri Horman -- is what sparked the search of at least one area.
Deputies said Monday the search was related to the investigationbut did not provide details about what areas were covered or what prompted the search.
Kyron was last seen by his stepmother a few days before his last day of class at Skyline Elementary School, according to the sheriff's office.
At least two of Horman's friends have been called before a Portland grand jury in the past weeks, including Spicher. Spicher was subpoenaed two weeks ago but, according to her lawyer, did not testify.
Kyron's birth parents, Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, have stated they believe Spicher has been protecting Terri Horman instead of cooperating with investigators.
Last week, Chelsea Aleshire also received a grand jury subpoena. Aleshire said she spoke with Terri Horman the day Kyron disappeared, but that the conversation took place before Terri Horman knew the 7-year-old had vanished. She said the two women have not spoken since.
Kaine Horman filed a restraining order against his estranged wife in late June on grounds that police gave him probable cause to believe she tried to hire someone to kill him and was involved in Kyron's disappearance.
He was granted custody of the couple's toddler and moved back into the family's home in mid-July. Terri Horman has since relocated to Roseburg.
Authorities haven't named any suspects or people of interest in the case.
