Re: KYRON HORMAN - 7 yo - Portland OR
Unfortunately it does not appear that this will end well. I just hope the LE find enough evidence to convict the perpetrator. This sweet little boy did not deserve his life destroyed to fulfill someone elses agenda.
Obviously it was planned and well thought out. I can only hope that mistakes were made.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Parents of elementary school
students set out on a dreary June day to return a questionnaire asking
about missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman.Kyron disappeared from
Skyline Elementary School on June 4 after a morning science fair. The
questionnaire followed at least one round of interviews and an intensive
ground search led by Multnomah County deputies.Parents were
asked to return the forms Sunday. Two of Skip Young's children

on finding the boy."Something like this, I believe, could happen
anywhere," Young said while dropping off the forms. "If he wandered off
that could happen, too, but if there's someone who's trying to take
somebody, how do you protect against that?"The questionnaire
targeted anyone who was at Skyline School on the day Kyron vanished. It
asked specific questions about Kyron's stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman,
and the white pickup truck she
drove that day. She has not been named as a person of interest by the
sheriff's office.

All of the posts about the body being found on the Sauvie Island FB page are gone . . . there were posts from residents and insiders who know LE, and they've all been deleted or pulled. And the discussion page on the Kyron FB page is now prayers/news only - all posts regarding body being found are missing there too.

Re: KYRON HORMAN - 7 yo - Portland OR
there is another fb page now which allows discussions - i can't believe the fighting between the two groups - we never had this issue with nadia's page EVER. then again, we didn't have all the unusual activities on the day she went missing either - yikes.
i screen shot a couple of the references to the body being found - and i still remember when HLN said the sm was going to be arrested and then they never mentioned it again - i am frankly shocked at the amount of media censorship attached to this case. I don't think i have seen this before

they indicate they live on the island and they reported this to the tipline - inc license plate numbers -
so for the sake of discussion - let's say this is true and not some fantasy post - if LE knew about this from the beginning - why focus the search to the school - why not go to the island immediately - unless the tip was called in later - and helped justify the search of the island along with the alleged cell phone pings - so who was in the other vehicle???

So now we find out that the Uncle, Kristian Horman admitted to molesting his girlfriends daughter and then told police that he was molested by his grandfather.
I still have the feeling that Kyron may have know something about Terri's son and that is why her son had to move out and that is why she had to keep Kyron quiet.

Dear Kyron,
I am so soooooo sorry that this has happened. I am sorry that I was not there to protect you. I will never be able to forgive myself for being so many hours away when you needed me the most. I pray that you come back to me because I am afraid that I can’t live without you. I miss you every second of every day. Iwould give my life for yours, I just want you back safe. You must come back to us. We have so many things that we have planned this summer that you are going to love. Quinn loves you so much and wants you home too. All of the family is here and wants you to know just how much they miss you. Mayson is terribly sad without his best friend to play with and wants you home soon.
When you come home I will show you all of things that everyone did for you, just to find you. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people that don’t know you and yet they pray for you every night. They know how much I miss you and need you and they just want to bring you home to me. There are so many wonderful people working on this case and they are going to find you soon.
I would give anything to run my fingers through your short hair again. I miss having you to hug anytime I want. Night time is always hard for me. I miss you so much and want you back here so that I can protect you from all of the horrible things in this world. I just can’t believe that you aren’t still with us. Your life has been really great and I know that it is done yet. A long time ago you saved my life and now I am going to do the same for you. Our lives will never be the same after this.
I love you very much!

Desiree's letter to Kyron is odd to me. It's strange that she says she is sorry, as though she feels it's her fault. That sounds to me like maybe she thinks it's Terri Horman and is saying sorry she left him with her. I can't think otherwise why she would be apologising to him.
BTW a lot of peeps think it's odd that TH didn't go to the thing that was on at 1pm but I assumed it was because her toddler would probably be having a nap at that time.

Re: KYRON HORMAN - 7 yo - Portland OR
In the three weeks since Kyron Horman disappeared from his grade school,
investigators have remained tight-lipped about their work except for
one thing: They have repeatedly asked the public to call in tips and
replay the day in their heads to jog any memories that may help find the
7-year-old.
But after initially publicizing that they had 1,200
tips, investigators now will confirm only that the calls continue to
come in steadily and that they're looking into them.
Some people are confused why they haven't heard back from sheriff's
officials right away and others say they haven't heard back at all.
Capt.
Jason Gates said Wednesday that Kyron's disappearance is the biggest
investigation Multnomah County
has ever handled and they're working through the tips, but are focused
on leads close-to-home and aren't always calling back people with
duplicate information.
"We have detectives going through each
and every tip that goes in," Gates said. "Quite frankly, some of those
tips are worthless, but it's a process of what are viable to follow up
on and what aren't."
Kyron vanished June 4 after he went to
school early to see his project at Skyline
School's science fair with his stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman.
She last saw him heading toward his classroom. The ensuing search
concentrated on an area immediately around the school and Sauvie Island.
Sheriff's officials also last week released a flier asking people to
report any sightings of the boy, his stepmother or the white pickup she
was driving that day.
Edward Weber thought he saw Kyron 10 days
later while eating lunch in Keizer, about 45 miles south of Portland. He
took pictures of the boy he saw and the license plate number of the car
that drove away from the restaurant.
Weber called the tip line,
but said he didn't hear back from an investigator for two days.
"It's
surprising to me that, due to the nature of the emergency, that they
would treat any tip that way, whether it's a real good one or not so
good," Weber said. "It makes people like us say, 'Well, what's the use
if it takes two days to answer?'"
Although people might think
investigators haven't addressed their tips, that's not the case, Gates
said. Because of the high number of calls coming in, detectives must set
priorities for each bit of information they receive, he said.
Tips
have come in "all across the gamut," he said. People have phoned in
alleged sightings of Kyron from across the country and psychics also
have offered their advice to investigators.
Mary Jean Kelso of
Fernley, Nev., saw a boy she thought might be Kyron at the small town's
Wal-Mart on June 13. She called the tip line that evening, but said she
has yet to hear back from investigators.
"I expected to hear
something that night or at the latest that Monday. I thought maybe they
didn't man it on the weekends," Kelso said. "But when it's a child
missing, it should be a 24-hour situation. It should be a live human
being. If they're not going to answer it, at least call you back."
Gates
said people shouldn't worry if they don't hear back from investigators.
Sometimes people have already reported the same information and
investigators have checked it out, he said.
"It's nothing
personal, it's just that we need to concentrate our efforts on fresh
information," he said.
Although Gates wouldn't comment on
exactly how investigators are setting their priorities, he did say each
tip is filed in a computer program. The program transcribes the tips and catalogs them in a database that detectives can search when pursuing
various aspects of the investigation.
"It's a challenge,
there's no doubt about it," Gates said. "But we still have our major
crimes team, plus outside detectives and FBI agents that are all helping
us with this. So even though it's a challenge to keep up with the tips,
we are managing them because of the extra help we're getting."
FBI
spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele said the bureau is supplying extra
investigators who have experience with missing children, technological
support and other resources.
But detectives still need help from
the public, Gates said -- not only in continuing to keep an eye out for
anything related to Kyron's disappearance, but also in understanding
why officials haven't released many details about the investigation.
"If
we released everything that we knew, we'd get all kinds of people that
call in with all kinds of theories. What we want is when we get tips to
get fresh information. If we get a call with details that haven't gone
out, we know that person is a credible witness," Gates said. "That's
integral to the case and that's going to help us solve it. When we
release tidbits of information to the public, it's definitely in order
to help us solve this case.
"Until we solve this case, the
public does not have a right to know the details. Once we solve the
case, they have every right to."

we know it was uploaded to fb on friday but like haleigh, we don't know when the last time kyron was truly seen now that they have eliminated the pta president sighting from the article - we only have the classmate, and the two teachers that the principal said saw him. i keep hoping the man in the plaid shirt will come forward and say if he was there thursday or friday - that would end the speculation about the picture, IMO.

Kyron Horman Update: Details emerge about Kyron’s uncle charged in
child molestation case
June 23, 2:27 PMSeattle Headlines ExaminerIsabelle Zehnder
snipped
June 23, 2010 - Kyron Horman, the 7-year-old Portland boy who went
missing from Skyline Elementary School June 4, has caught national
attention. On June 16 his uncle from Seattle was arrested on charges of
3rd degree child molestation. There has been question as to whether the
uncle’s arrest and Kyron’s case are in any way related.
Details about the molestation
Kyron’s uncle, Kristian Scott Horman, 32, was initially arraigned in
March 2009 for alleged child molestation in 2008. It has been reported
the abused child was Kristian’s teen niece.
However, during a phone interview Monday with Snohomish County
Prosecutor, Hal Hupp, he said, “The child was not Kristian’s niece.
There was no biological relation to Kristian.”
Hupp continued, “They were in the same house, in the same bed when it
happened."
"There were two underage children in the bed at the time the molestation
took place," he said. "The second child was uninvolved.”
According to Snohomish County Superior Court records Kristian was living
with his girlfriend at the time of the molestation. Also living in the
home were his girlfriend’s mother and his 1-year-old son. They lived in
Bothell, Washington.
On October 24, 2008, the daughter of Kristian Horman’s ex-wife stayed at
his house while his girlfriend was out of town. The girl was 15 at the
time.
According to court records, Kristian invited her to sleep in his bed. He
"massaged her back" and then began "rubbing her crotch."
The girl knew what Kristian was doing was wrong, left the bed, and
called her mother.
Kristian apologized at the time. He first told police he was asleep and
couldn’t remember what happened, but finally confessed. Court records
indicate he was trying to arouse and initiate relations with the
15-year-old.
When asked what he was thinking, Kristian told police he was himself
abused as a child by his own grandfather. Court records say he was
thinking about all of the things his grandfather had done to him and
remembering how he felt during the time.
Cases related?
According to Snohomish County Prosecutor Hal Hupp, the cases are not
related and Kristian’s recent jail sentence had nothing to do with
Kyron.
“The child molestation case occurred two years ago and the uncle was
just found guilty and jailed on June 16,” Hupp said. “Kyron was not the
molested child in that case.”
When asked if Kristian Horman’s child molestation conviction in Seattle,
Wash., was part of the investigation in Kyron’s case in Portland,
Multnomah County Sheriff’s office spokeswoman, Lt. Mary Lindstand, said,
“Yes, I can say that it is part of the investigation.”
Clearing up misconceptions
There have been rumors that the “arrest” of the uncle came so close to
the date Kyron went missing, that people believe his arrest was somehow
connected to Kyron’s disappearance.
